The dog test said I was a labradoodle which had "chill" in the description. I am the LEAST chill person I know, more like Type AAA. However, I love the labradoodle company I keep! And the puggles too.

Hi Niner, I certainly do not mind your asking. It was my dad. He died in 1985. I will be honest and tell you that he suffered. However there have been huge medical advances in the past 30 years.

Microsoft Abandons 'Windows 8', Upgrade Now Or Be Cut Off Like Windows XP

If you’re still using Windows 8 then it is time to upgrade because from 13 January 2016 Microsoft MSFT +0.00% will no longer release security patches for the new operating system. Any holes hackers find will be left unpatched and the operating system is now fundamentally insecure. It is time to upgrade – and quickly.

To be fair to surprised Windows 8 users, Microsoft has warned about this for some time, though confusion is understandable because its official lifecycle page states ‘Windows 8’ will still receive ‘Mainstream Support’ (new features) until 9 January 2018 and ‘Extended Support’ (security patches) until 10 January 2023. Microsoft Warns Windows 7 Has Serious Problems

There’s only one problem with Capossela’s statements: they are complete rubbish.

Windows 7 is no less secure than Windows 10 (it will be supported until 2020) and no less compatible with new hardware and software. In fact its far greater market share means it is developers’ priority and has greater compatibility with legacy programmes and peripherals...

WOW That is depressing

I cant believe I am using a brand new machine that is less than 1 year old and they are telling my my Windows 8.1 is no good soon.

Well I am going to take my chances and keep running it. I luckily turned off all auto updates right after I opened the box. I am relying on NORTON to save me from any threats.

I used the same method on my old VISTA machine and never had a Virus EVER thank goodness. KNOCK ON WOOD

I do practice cautious web using which helps too. I don't click on anything I don't want to and I delete lots of SPAM mail.

I am getting closer and closer to going with APPLE as my next machine. And I may even consider LINUX operating system.

Microsoft has really turned me off the way they are forcing people to do things.

The first taste of this I had on this new machine was when I needed OUTLOOK. Thank goodness I saved my OLD Outlook CD 2003 VERSION. LOL
Worked like a charm somehow.

I always get a kick out of the news media when they say things like this. Just the other day I think on GMA the guy was saying "over 1/3 or more will go to taxes".

Spellbound, I hope you feel better soon. I think you are an amazing, beautiful, kind and caring person, not to mention thoughtful and I know the pain you are in. You serve as an inspiration to me daily as you never exude self pity.

Pinterest has a lot of those paper bag floors on its site. I figured I would just soak myself in stain and roll around the floor. Do you think it would look as good? Let alone clever? Think of all the games we could play! What body part/fat roll is that from?

Cancer affects so many wonderful people. I think VP Biden taking on cures for cancer is noble, but not profitable for the drug companies. Who have a HUGE lobby presence. Who rake in tons of money from chemo drugs. I often wonder if they are truly invested in finding a cure. I hope so.

ETA: I am heavily sedated on happy meds. Please excuse. Glad the drug companies at least made those.

Hatfield! How lovely your doctor was to lower the cost. It is such a shame that the doctors are forced to bill the insurance companies what they have to in order to be paid something on the dollar billed.

Can you imagine selling Girl Scout cookies for $5 a box and my telling you, no, I am only going to pay you half? After I had eaten the whole box? Because I thought that $2.50 was more reasonable? Hello?

Sorry. I just see how hard my DH works and all that is involved in primary care. The insurance companies are unregulated so guess who ends up picking up the tab...

I don't understand insurance all that well so I probably should not even be commenting on it much. All I know is I pay my premiums on time and they are always trying to deny services and deny charges. X is not covered or Y is not covered, etc. etc.
I suppose the doctors deal with that sort of thing too and maybe why they have to charge more than what they would charge me that day.

Where I really get burned is in Auto Insurance or Homeowner Insurance. I have had some really bad experiences with them. I pay and pay each month and then it seems in the few rare instances when I actually needed to file a claim for something they always reduced the claim down to almost nothing or so low that the deductible was not even met.

No offense taken at all. I don't really know enough about how it all works so I am sure doctors are not the problem as much as the insurance companies.

The insurance companies drive me crazy. LOL

No easy "fix" for the rising costs of healthcare industry. If there was an easy "fix" it would have been done a long time ago.

I suppose the doctors deal with that sort of thing too and maybe why they have to charge more than what they would charge me that day.

Medical Insurance Reimbursement is so ridiculously complicated. I am so used to the hassles and hearing the complaints from my husband, I am quick to respond lol. He has to employ 2 people just to handle insurance billing for him and his partner. If you ever have a problem or question with the medical insurance stuff, please let me know. Happy to help sort anything out if you need it. The system works us and we are MORE than happy to do so in kind. Xo

ETA: The Medicare/Medicaid Network servers are so overloaded, one of the girls submits them electronically between 11 pm and 3 am. That is ridiculous.
