Welcome back Hopeful One...we're planning a Websleuths convention at Alcatraz. They have picnic tables...there will be a lot of dancing after dinner.

Yay! I'm in! I'll bring the wieners! (as in hot dogs, you sickos)

There is nothing her parents could have said in the penalty phase that would have benefited her. If they were on the stand, Juan would have come right back with the LE interview tapes to start with, and probably a lot more.

MOO

Well there is that sure. A big factor. I still think they are mostly done though...but maybe I am wrong as well. It's not like they have done any press to know what they feel.

Did you listen to the interview? He says it on there. You have to listen to all of it. He says she is unrecognizable and the Jodi he knew didn't talk like that, wasn't a liar, wasn't disrespectful, wasn't manipulative or evil.

Thank you. I understand. On another note during Penalty phase, day 2, JM made reference to Patricia W. drug use and jodis involvement. Im paraphrasing. He talked about pictures they are in. Sounds like illegal actvities caught in a kodak moment. Any idea what hes talking about? Im sure we can talk about it here because JM made it a matter of record when Nurmi was filing for yet another motion for mistrial.

Yes. Let the people in Arizona deal with it. It's their state, after all. This young woman has to face her consequences. I'm not a blood-lust person, and to tell you the truth, some of the media-engendered hysteria about this case has disgusted me.

Let 'er go.

I'd...really rather not deal with her honestly. Shut her up forever in a small cell, 23 in, 1 out. Give her a rope and opportunity and see if she will save AZ some money.

I just did. She better hope delusion can keep her immune to the situation, because there is a most excellent hell waiting for her there.

The guy who did the videos was right- her lawyers did her no favor by failing to prepare her. I agree with him- she may not survive a year. No wonder it's called "the Hole."

Does anyone seriously believe her lawyers did not prepare her for Perryville? Because that, to me, is negligent and unethical.

I think that for the purposes of the allocution she wanted to present herself as a normal, naive and idealistic 'girl'. With the direction and help of a consultant.

Haven't heard from Tex, she must be mowing on those green tomatoes.
And Brisket.
And chicken.
And dirty rice.
And potato salad.
And Shiner Beer.
And sweet tea.
AND BLUE BELL ICE CREAM.

She must be feeding a crew.

If they gave her a rope she'd probably just make Macrame .. perhaps she'd weave herself a flattering top?

The third video says one roll of toilet paper has to last you a week.
What happens if it doesn't? How big is the roll? Is it quality TP?

:floorlaugh: How sad, she already felt like used toilet paper!

:seeya:you always make me happy that I read back pages I've missed!:floorlaugh:

Back when I worked for the courts VIS were just being introduced. There was a person who worked with the victims families, sat with them in Court, brought children teddy bears.

Victims Rights have come a long long way and it seems to me that actually being able to stand in court and make a statement on how the crime has changed your life and your feelings about losing your loved one goes a long way in the healing process (if that is ever possible).

At any rate having those words and statements in the record is the very least the court can allow in this day and age of the defendant having so many rights. :twocents:

I so agree. And I think it also has it's history in the perspective that it's not the victim or victim's family bringing the case..it's the state of... verus..
Families and victims were completely left out of the process..as if they did not exist. Can anyone forget Sharon Rocha's incredible, heartwrenching, moving all to tears, statement regading Lacy Peterson's fear of water and being found in the bay without her arms to cradle her child. A stunning portrait of a mother's raw, unbridled love for her daughter

Yum! I'm bringing a big green salad with sesame garlic dressing, homemade chocolate chip cookies, and some funkadelic music to dance to

You remind me SO MUCH of my friend Kate. Whenever she sees us, the first thing she says is, "What's up beeeeeeetches. What's the effin 4-1-1!!"

This from the most elegant creature you've ever seen.

lol

Awe that's cute! I'm known to make up words, say strange things, all in good fun. :)

Holla, beeeeetches! ;)

True.

You can't tell her anything, anyway.

I'm sure she came off all hard with them, "I've been in Estrella for 5 years. There isn't anything in Perryville I haven't already seen so stop with the dire warnings."

And they threw up their hands. lol

Yummo. I made a broccoli and cauliflower salad yesterday that was belicious. Now I'm getting hungry.

Extra: Meeting Jodi Arias - 48 Hours - CBS News

I have never seen this before today ... It is the pre-taping of the 48 HRS interview. It's just so gross.

I'm not sure if this link will work. Someone let me know?

Thanks for posting this AZwatcher, I hadn't seen it.

I was shocked to see this all started while she was in Yreka. This makes me believe part of her motive may have been fame. She would have had to research 48 Hrs before her arrest to know how to contact them and get them there so fast. IMO

Interesting that before they even got started she took control by telling them to take a break if she got shiny and how she familiarized herself with them all so quickly. She seems like a sweet little girl that any unsuspecting guy would stop to help by the wayside and invite her to their home to take care of her. Very scary!!! Of course MOO

I'm so hungry.

Stop it, stop it right now!
How could anyone not eat all their king crab legs?
There would never be leftovers with me, no matter how many legs you gave me.
Crab cakes, hmmm...I want to come to your house. I'm in San Diego. Are you?

I know, I know....AWFUL that we didn't eat them all on Friday night....but, I have to order seafood to get anything decent--shipping cost is OUT OF THIS WORLD expensive, but we save up. SO, when we order, we order a LOT because it's a flat shipping rate.

I WISH I was in San Diego...I'm in Kansas.....sigh...the land of tornados, wheat, corn and AWESOME tomatoes from the garden (the one redeeming factor lol).
