I grew up listening to all that was/is Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.
Love love love. Brings back a lot of memories...both good and bad.

That was awesome! Thanks! I loved, loved, loved Purple Rain! I could watch that movie over and over and over and over. I loved the 80's!!!!
Yes! Love the Stones! I was saying last night that we went to their last concert back in the early 90's at Soldier Field. At least we thought it was their last concert. Who knew they would still be touring today? :waitasec:
I love Stevie Nicks too. FM but esp. Stevie. My screen name was chosen because I love the artist Sulamith Wulfing. SN said she was an inspiration to her. I had never heard of SW before I read about SN liking her.
I also love His Purple Highness and think he's a musical genius. His guitar work in that video was thrilling! The first time I saw it I was taken aback because George Harrison's son is his spitting image. That was such a great tribute to him.
As for the 80's music, at the time it was coming out I remember lots of criticism about how it became secondary to the videos being almost mass-produced for MTV. Listening to the music now, there were tons of great songs that stand up very well today. I have lots of guilty pleasures from that time, including this:
A Flock Of Seagulls - I Ran (So Far Away) [1982] - YouTube
Everybody has probably seen Almost Famous but the clip where Mick Jagger is mentioned was so funny to me.
The war is over. They won - YouTube

Me, too, and I use it. Swear to God, I was listening to a couple of 45's last night by Wham and Foreigner. While I clean later on, I'll be listening to my Little River Band album. I have lots of new music on my MP3, but it's not a REAL music experience if you can't hear the little hiss in the background in between songs.
