I am being really serious here....IS THIS NORMAL for a person's attorney, 3+ months after a trial, to still be involved with getting $$$ for his client ??? Maybe it is, I am trying to think of another case to compare this travesty to, coming up blank. I would think it would be some kind of PR representative for the actual person being sought..... but we know FCA will not have any kind of a PR person.

Bet FCA wishes SHE could have been the one at the play and the dinner with BW. She is probably madder than a wet hen that SHE can't bet the recipient of Matt Lauer and BW's fawning and wine and dinner and a play. She is stuck hiding out, and I am VERY GOOD with that!!

Maybe BW sent her a token box of chocolates or some flowers or something like a bag of cheetos.

IMO, MOO, etc.

I would say there is something very, very wrong with our justice system if this is permitted to continue. While it is quite legal it is wrong on so many levels. jmo

I watched the TMZ video a few times too - THANKS, LogicalGirl. I didn't see The View, but if BW was fawning over JB there, I wonder why she would disallow a good-bye hug? (Ugh, I would too, but I have never fawned over him. In fact he gives me the creeps). Why would she reject JB's hug now? Maybe its me, but I don't get it. Did he tick her off?

Oh I understand that one perfectly! LOL - I have had to "do" a lot of business dinners in my time, because I wanted the company's business for my company - two separate entities. While I wanted the business so was happy to go through whatever legal channels it took - I sure didn't have any intention at all of letting them touch "my person". Whole different thing...just cause she wants to be the one to interview OCA, doesn't mean she likes or admires JB - she's just doing her job..

Plus Barbara considers herself an "icon" like the Queen - the Queen may touch you but you may not touch the Queen. Baez thinks he's hit the big time where he is kissie kissie with everyone - um..no..JB. It's just business.

Maybe he just didn't know he was being "played" by a professional. jmo

Aaargh. The "Big Interview." Inevitable, yes?

Isn't Matt Lauer JB's newest BFF? I'll bet he and Baba Wawa (Barbara Walters, for those of you too young to remember Gilda Radner's hilarious impression of her) would run over each other's faces with golf cleats to nab an interview with KC. "Hey! I wanna be the one to get to THE TRUTH!" Haha! I scoff! The TRUTH, from a narcissistic sociopath and pathological liar? Hilarious! Well, it would be hilarious if it weren't so sickening.

I sadly predict that nobody will ever get a dime from KC (well, maybe the IRS; they have NO sense of humor). I also predict she'll end up back in the slammer, eventually. And the GA and CA gravy train will derail soon enough. We must be patient. Patience! (Alas, not my strong suit.)

You really think he even suspected this is a game?

I suppose you're right - he thinks it has to do with him personally...that he's a Star...:giggle:

And really it points out JB's lack of business professionalism...If he and his wife had attended the same event and dinner with Matt Lauer- would he have reached over to hug Matt Lauer goodbye? :floorlaugh: It's the same thing - true professionals know to leave the sex of the individual out of the picture completely.

Lol! When I read this, all I could hear was that camp song. "Hello Mudder. Hello Fadder. Here I am at Camp Granada." Except with JB, it would go more like:

"Hello, Barbara. Hello, Matt. Don't you know that, I'm all that!"
"Cuz I freed a baby-killah. Now I need to sign a million-dollar-dealah!"

I’ll be on E! True Hollywood Story Casey Anthony this Weds. Oct. 19 @ 10pm. I wasn't paid and was told that #caseyanthony receives no money.

I keep imagining Casey silhouette (sp?) being blacked out and her voice changed for any interview she does. She's got to play the part of damsel in distress until her probation is up, ya know?

Why couldn't it be titled "True Hollywood Story: Caylee Anthony?" :banghead:

Why couldn't it be titled "True Hollywood Story: Caylee Anthony?" :banghead:

Because it is the story of a sociopath who kills her daughter. It's about a killer, and what kind of woman would kill her beautiful daughter.

I'm not so sure anything is going to change once her probation is up - she'll still have huge bills and no one will want to be around her.

But, but, but......she on probation and won't be able to lie to Babs.... It's no fun unless she can lie. It's still a game to her and to lie to someone like BW, she'll get an immediate high. And if she's on The View with Whoopie and the others, KC won't come down from that high for months.

I think M&M need to make the judge aware that JB is out shopping for his client's debut and releasing this depo tape will mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Does it make sense that Atty Greene is saying no don't release it and JB is begging for an interview for her with BW? jmo

I think the motive for an interview with FCA is different for each person involved. It really is a sad day when people are openly fighting for an interview with a baby killer. There was a time when baby killers were shunned. Anyway here goes motive (IMO only):

Barbara - Ego. She has more money than she can spend so it's not about money. She doesn't have anything to prove at this point. She could go happily into retirement if she wanted. We know the other networks were in negotiations. Matt Lauer and JB did the public dinner routine as well. She wants to win...score the big interview and show everyone she is still relevant. Personally I don't think it's a win but I can see why some could. This is not a fact finding mission for her. There will be no tough questions. All questions will be approved ahead of time. This will not be about Caylee it will be about FCA.

JB - Ego and Money. He has a lot in common with FCA in the morals department. He is lazy. He lies, cheats, and I believe stole from the state of Florida. He'll do anything for quick cash. He doesn't want to work hard and earn it himself. He didn't even pay child support for his own child. He wants an easy, very lucrative talking head job. I don't think he wants the daily grind of being a lawyer. He loves hanging out with famous people because it makes him feel important.

ABC - Money.

Caylee will be lost again in the thirst for money/ego.

There is a reason why these dinners are public (Matt Lauer & Barbara Walters). JB isn't staying at a Days Inn. They could go to his suite and order room service or simply conduct business from his suite. They want to gauge the public's reaction. Is it worth a boycott? Is it worth losing viewers? Will they gain viewers? Will the people stand outside the studio with signs? Does anyone even care? It only takes one person to blow up the pic of Caylee's bones and put the words 'ABC supports a baby killer' or simply 'FCA suffocated Caylee and she's in hair/makeup now'. The other networks would show it over and over.

I let NBC know how I felt about their network and Matt Lauer after the dinner was confirmed between the two. I honestly liked Matt before he met with JB and now I think he's pond scum. I turn him off. I wonder if NBC decided it wasn't worth the risk.

IMO

Thanks for this Jon_Burrows! I think bringing in their big gun (or so they think although I think her sun set years ago) was in fact PR to see the public's reaction. After all, how bad can OCA be if it's Barbara who is interviewing her? As if that would make a difference...Barbara is yesterday's news media folks - or don't you realize that yet?

Apparently Jose's presence in Aruba is helping Gary Giordano appeal to get out of jail. It's just been denied again and he will remain there until the 31st of October.

Then he's going to be brought back to court and charged or sent back to jail for another 30 days...

Hope you cashed that check Jose because somebody might be putting a stop payment on it...
