I'm willing to bet the bank that he is not honorable at all. In fact, they might be very similar. Both hiding behind a facade and a mask, his mask is religion. Most people are apprehensive to criticize people that present themselves as pious and Godly.

Extremes like the kind that this church espouses always set off about a zillion alarms and red flags for me. (in any context)

It's very suspicious to see a pastor (can he really be called that with no education?) falling all over himself to include someone like FCA in his congregation AND to "forgive" her - when she has not admitted any kind of wrongdoing. Makes absolutely no sense. Couldn't he "counsel" her without moving her in?

Which version of who's the babydaddy would that be? We should have numbered them so we could keep them in order.. The one that sticks in my mind is the version she told KioMarie Cruz, a lifelong close friend... that there were 8 possible babydaddies in the month that she conceived Caylee and she thought maybe the tall dark quiet guy was the one.]
If she had any real clue who it was I can't help thinking she would have stuck to one story, not change according to who was listening...?

He's going to need a plentiful supply of forgiveness- she has already abused his hospitality and his church by sending out smutty photos on the computer provided for her.. forgiving and enabling are very close relations.

Supposedly, this preacher wears cowboy boots, according to a news article, also wears some questionable t-shirts. I was reading about him last night and all I can say is I get the impression I'd for sure run the other way if I came into contact with this org. It seems this place has an outreach program for young adults, but imo, it sounds like brainwash to me-can I say that? jmo. If it was true that OCA was at another 'sanctuary' prior-you know the 1 I mean, she should have stayed there. As much as I don't care for her, she has a huge problem, she doesn't need this. She needs proper therapy, not musical therapy.

OT I'm sure, but whatever happened to Eric's mama who was wanting to have a DNA test done? I know this was in the news way back, but I've never heard anything else about this. It's not out of idle curiosity that I want to know who Caylee's father is, I want him, or his family, to go after the felon in a civil court for the wrongful death of Caylee. This is the only way I can see Caylee ever getting any justice, as unrealistic as that hope may be.

Well...
There are a couple of fella who have either become infatuated with the celebrity or with the fair damesil (SP here is correct...my DD laughed and said it sounded like a feminine product)...in distress. One is more hooked than the other. I’ve received pictures from both - good-looking guys. One - ROB - from Melbourne - single dad of a 4 month old boy - 26 - not so obsessed, but spent many nights and letters trying to win me over by telling me how “hot” I am and “sexy”, blah blah. Gag me. Ha! He even told me how he was caught by his neighbors with a picture of me as the background on his phone. I kid you not. It’s flattering, but I can’t help but be weirded out. I’ve obviously never met the guy. Number Two takes the cake. His name is Al - 30's from Mass. Nurse and bodybuilder, Italian, again, very good- looking. He sends cards and letters proposing marriage every card and every letter. I’m his princess. He wants to marry me now and he’ll take care of me, yadda yadda.

Is this what “celebrities” have to deal with? Yikes. H is sweet in a strange sort of way....

He also has a lot to gain. Can you imagine FCA and Camp hitting the media circuit. The storyline would be...small-town pastor counsels and changes the heart of a killer, oh and BTW he has a new CD. I can see a book and movie deal about her life on his little compound and all of her good deeds, complete with testimonials from the congregation about how great FCA really is. The video diaries she was/is doing---all for the interviews.

Some of the pieces are becoming a little clearer to me now. Baez saying she wouldn't be doing interviews for at least six months. FCA mentions an early probation release. JB/CM's stories about her learning to grieve and get better. I kept wondering how they could market a baby killer. Well, this may be their plan. The only problem...FCA couldn't keep her big mouth shut.

I just wanted to bring this post forward again because it makes so much sense to me. This looks like something JB set up with his buddy JLyons and it just might have worked if not for those "unedited" videos and pictures leaking out showing that KC has not changed a bit. I bet they did ask her to make personal video blogs as part of the media deal they were going to market. It appears as though that first one was her attempt at being all quiet and introspective...you know, learning valuable lessons from her new found spiritual journey. But of course it was just an attempt...that would be a tough one for her to pull off. But then the subsequent ones that got released seemed to be a show for her admirerers. And somehow those admirerers got a hold of them, plus pictures and sent them out to the WWW. If this is the case no wonder JB was so mad and appears to have left the scene.

OMG. There's a new girl in our IT department, apparently installing a program on my boss's computer (a program the IT department they are rolling out), and my boss says her name is Casey! Freaky! And it just came up on my computer too!

Yup. Anyone with the money, resources, personality , and werewithal can start a church or a place of religious worship. No education needed. Their success would depend on their ability to lead or to get people to "believe in them" and create a loyal flock.

In my opinion, this is how some preachers and pastors come to be. It is all about magnetic personalities and charisma (for better or worse) and has very little to do with having studied theology in any academic way.

No offense intended to anyone, but in my opinion, that is the gist of what I would see as the darker side of religion. There are always people that are ready to believe and people that are more than ready and willing to capitalize on that blind faith.

There is a lot of money and attention in it for the preacher/pastor and some (not all) are nothing more than snake oil salesmen. I'm not saying that his guy is or isn't but from what I am reading on his website regarding his church, I consider him a controlling extremist. (Every religion has them) And if there is one thing in the world I do not trust and am suspicious of it is an extremist. That applies to any extremist in any context and not just religion.

I would not be so quick to believe that this guy is innocently trying to "save" her or is so pious that he can see past what she has been accused of. He is getting something out of risking his reputation by hiding her there. It could be sex, a book deal, it could be money, it could even be aspirations of future fame. Narcissism and sociopathy can be behind it, the need for power and constant adoration. Who gives that more than a flock of loyal followers? Followers that could be "admonished" and thrown out of the community at anytime for transgressions that he has outlined from his perception of the bible.

Whatever it is, I am not inclined to believe that it comes from a place of enlightenment. I know my opinion sounds cynical but I am just not buying it for one second.
