I still find it amazing that most can't even consider that GA may have molested Casey. From the moment the media reported this tragic event, and after seeing Casey on the news - The first thing I said was WOW, This girl is a molestation victim. Long before anything of the sort was even remotely mentioned. I guess I just seen myself (to an extent) in her somehow. But what truly throws me is how no one wants to even consider that it may be true. I mean, you seriously didn't think he would admit it do you? (not to anyone in particular) So since he said No it didn't happen that's the end of it? Since, Casey lies that's the end of it? The truth of the matter is that NO ONE but Casey and George know the truth. NO ONE. And for ANYONE to say that he did not, you know not what you speak of. And certainly don't know anything about child sexual abuse. When I FINALLY told my mom she said "He must have been having a seizure." LOL. Well if that was the case he was having a seizure every day for 5 years lol. Anyway, that was her way of denial and dealing. Just because the perp doesn't admit it or no one else knows, or no report, doesn't mean squat. All just my two cents. IMO.

I cant discount it absolutely as a possibility...as you said, only GA and OCA know the truth for certain....the thing is, the reason I think it's highly unlikely, is because she didnt show any signs or symptoms until it came time to save her own @ss from the fire, excepting when she wanted a bit of playing the victim to draw a man in closer...after JB's team scoured the net to find out what things people were saying....all of it, every single bit of it, can be found right here on WS from july 2008 ...JB & co combed through to see what they could about what we thought was weird about the anthonys, which one we liked the least, etc etc and you know what? I always said that if it wasnt for CA's panicked 911 call, I could have been convinced that CA was the murderer...because that WOULD explain OCA's behaviour in the 31 days....and I wasnt the only poster who discounted CA absolutely for that reason among others....otherwise, we'd have been fed a steaming pile of poo about a narcissistic mother who murdered poor lil oca's daughter to punish her....you know what I mean?

I am sorry for what happened to you :hug: and for your mother's immediate denial which must have been just as bad...I think it showed your kindness to give OCA the benefit of the doubt and obviously feel very strongly about it...I just dont have any indication at all that OCA was telling the truth whereas you have absolutely nothing to gain by telling a public forum of which you are a member.....

I wonder if Amazon had any idea that Jose's book would cause such a firestorm in their review section. Does anyone know if this has happened at Amazon before with any other book? Did it happen with JA's book, too, and I was just unaware?

Personally, I don't think they've made many sales but have only been used to provide a new platform for debates and arguments.

Do you think that marketing Jose's book has been a positive or negative for Amazon?

Im guessing a positive as far as getting customers to visit their site. Also..wonder how many 5 starers creating new accounts ..and making a purchase so they can comment.

A negative as far as dysmal sales and so many reviews not reflecting the true quality of the product.

JA's 5 star reviews far out number his 1 star reviews. I don't think any product's rating positively or negatively affects amazon. They literally sell everything. I have been a "prime" member for several years and order everything from groceries to diapers to electronics and everything in between. I love the review system because many times it has saved me from wasting money on a bad product. I always read the reviews before purchasing.

JA's 5 star reviews far out number his 1 star reviews. I don't think any product's rating positively or negatively affects amazon. They literally sell everything. I have been a "prime" member for several years and order everything from groceries to diapers to electronics and everything in between. I love the review system because many times it has saved me from wasting money on a bad product. I always read the reviews before purchasing.

I just checked on Amazon and they list 130- 5 star reviews and 203- 1star reviews. If you then look at the comments and the paltry few readers who agree with the 5 star reviews you can see that very few believe them...
Sales figures don't lie.

Well, they did put it down because they did the review. Who reviews a book before they finish the whole book? Most people want an honest opinion of the book stating facts. Stating JB as brilliant when he was hand-held through the whole trial and did not write the book they are reading did not follow the trial closely. I guess some are easily mislead. jmo

They must have a decent size team, or lots of fake profiles as the one star reviews that harm them most are getting voted way down. There has to be lots of Caylee supporters not voting. I say, pass the word on facebook and twitter to vote up the reviews you like and vote down the ones you don't!

BBM. I can't get this one sentence out of my mind. Although I know it happens, I can't imagine a mother, any mother, denying what is going on under her own roof. She had to know - but if not, it was her duty to thoroughly investigate and check it out. She chose to live in denial and let her child suffer. I have never suffered abuse but my mother ignoring me would push me over the edge (I feel).

Pcrum12, I am thinking about you and other survivor's today and hoping that you get a little bit of satisfaction somehow that Joe Paterno's statue is being removed from Penn State. People who turn a blind eye to this kind of abuse, deserve to be exposed for what they are.

Well, he has an overblown sense of pride and I suppose he was a good looking man when he was young, and some men base their manhood on their ability to provide for their family. So he may have gotten a lot of attention from women, and we know he was a failure as a provider and there was a rumour he'd gambled or invested a lot of money in one of those online schemes and lost the whole thing. So I think being a non-achiever was hard on his ego. Plus living with the whole world watching and pointing fingers at his family he was so proud of. His daughter killed his grand daughter and then he was accused of at least being a pervert if not a pedophile. I think he had good reason to look a little "off".

Or the other question is - just how does one look with a daughter who is a murderer, a grand daughter who has been murdered, a wife who is lying, and you and your son have been accused of sexually abusing your daughter and your grand daughter. And you are living in the middle of a media firestorm. What does that person look like anyway???

They look like George Anthony. I have never seen any one man go through what GA has gone through. I don't even want to try to imagine what that would be like :-( And then to have all your personal life before what FCA did brought out. It just seems to me anyway, GA was never a strong person.

Edited to add: Hey - I've had my own chunky years and how much a person weighs means nothing to me, and is never a reason for taunting - Unless you are a child killer whose only reason for calling a television personality is to declare that you aren't fat. Then I laugh...

I know there are many of us on WS who suffered various forms of abuse while growing up. But who among us would kill a child because of it?

After following this case from day one, watching every second of the trial, reading countless articles and Jeff's book, I still have NO doubt whatsoever that:

1) Casey Anthony is the victimizer
2) and Caylee Marie Anthony is the only victim.

The entire Anthony family are the worst group of enablers I think I've ever seen (and I've seen some beauts; my own included.) I have zero sympathy for any of them. Cindy is a common grifter and control freak, George comes across as weak and dim, and I don't know what Lee's angle is. But they all failed Caylee miserably, and have profited from it. It sickens me.

So I feel deeply for all who truly suffered from abuse, but Casey Anthony makes a mockery of your real-life nightmares. As another poster pointed out, it's all a game to her. She's a sociopath who takes perverse delight in using people. I pity the folks who enter her orbit. She is dangerous and toxic.

Men who abuse are not meek, IMI, they are controllers. They know how to control the family dynamics to keep their abuse from getting out. They handpick their spouses so they can control them, intimidate them to keep them from telling. GA had the least amount of control within that household. IMO GA was the one who appeared to have been verbally abused by this whole family by them constantly putting him down. Never good enough, everything was his fault, missing money was attributed to his gaming habits. I think GA was used as a scapegoat to cover KC's stealing. I think KC got pregnant so she could finally control her mother. I don't think anything was an accident and I think KC knew exactly what she needed to do to get control away from CA. I believe Jesse was correct when he said KC was "diabolical". jmo
