(In fact, I guess most of the defense experts are actually working pro bono on this case, aren't they, now that I think of it.) "Can be bought" has a very derogatory connotation that I don't think is warranted when we are talking about these scientists. Personally I've never seen Kobilinsky "waffle" as a few Nancy Grace fans like to claim. I've seen him baffled and silenced by Nancy's screaming tantrums when he won't say what she wants to hear, but he's never waffled or contradicted himself, as much as they like to claim this.
