SM as a potential focus of the investigation

Having just attended a talent show at my grandkids school one week and then a 'graduation' from elementary school for one of my grandsons at the same school a week later, I can tell you I have tons of pics that have other kids, parents, etc in them. Maybe someone has a pic they are not aware of that has valuable info in it, maybe all parents who were there taking pics should bring their cameras in for LE to look at and see if they perhaps caught something on camera that could be of evidentary value.

bbm

LE stated at the very beginning they had already asked and received all videos and pics.

They were at the school together. Arrived ~8am, did the rounds, saw some people, and then last seen ~8:45-9am but not on record as seen together leaving. For her vita/resume, you can see her public self-posted info on the Professional socmedia site that she and millions of others use. In regards to this school, she is a regular volunteer/helper (well, that is, up until the Science Fair day).

Precisely.

My sentiments exactly - said it before, parking far away would make it very easy to go unnoticed upon departure. Meet me at the car... then once together again, inquiring about the trip to the car.... Did you see any of your classmates or teachers to say bye?? No, mom.

We do not know and can only privately speculate on this. I did find it interesting that major news outline (HLN today) used language such as "sent away" in regards to this question (perhaps why it is fresh on your mind) when I know I haven't seen any details on the why - even with all the socmedia family public postings out there.

WWeek is our weekly paper here in Portland. It's been around for 35 years and has received investigative reporting accolades. I believe in the integrity of their story and have ever since it was reported. To your question, here is how they put the ping part:

"WW has learned that federal, county and city law-enforcement officials say the reason for the search of Sauvie Island is that cell-phone records reveal Kyron’s step-mother, Terri Moulton Horman, may have been on the island the day he disappeared.

This information comes from five separate law-enforcement officials from agencies at the city, county and federal level. To our knowledge, none is directly involved with the investigation." End WWeek quotes.

BBM

I am very uncomfortable with any newspaper that uses "may have been on the island the day he disappeared."

When I see news site that use " may have" "could have" "possibly" I am very reluctant to put much validity in the article.

IMOO"

Hi Jules, It was Tanner who saw Kyron walk by the door when their group was all together except for him - 9am I assume, right before the bell.

I think the Sheriff's statement postcedes { :waitasec: can't think of the right word meaning comes after} Tanner's seeing Kyron. He flat out stated SM was the LAST one to see Kyron before he disappeared.

Don't you think?

Hi Scandi!
Below is what I was referring to - this made it seem like Kyron was in a group of kids touring the science projects in different classes. With LE now saying Terri was the last to see him - are they negating this statement from Tanner?

http://www.koinlocal6.com/mostpopul...did-you-see-Terri/Dz4uMChK60KCWjy3W5FG4Q.cspx

And she was like 'oh no where's Kyron there's only five' and Mrs. Porter was like it's okay calm down, calm down he's probably in the bathroom or getting a drink of water and she said alright I'm going to leave and she left, " says Tanner Pumala.

WOW, Thanks Cluciano, Quoting from your link " . . "Terri is the last known person to have seen Kyron alive before he disappeared," Gates said.

To me that is confirmation she was seen with Kyron AFTER Tanner saw him walk past his school room door !!!

I still don't understand why the word "alive" is needed in that sentence.

If it is her, I believe I found her Ebay page. Just interesting. Allowed to post a link for review, or no?

Apologies for being so noobish. :blushing:

It was posted several threads ago.

It seems kind of odd that a woman would give up her career, especially a reading specialist. Now the comment about the child blocking the door at the gym does seem kind of odd. I'm assuming a reading specialist is special ed, so she must have been used to dealing with troublesome kids or those who might cause a few problems. I'm not suspecting her yet, but this intolerance is the most suspicious for me so far. Hopefully they're interviewing the families of previous students who may have possibly been treated badly.

Reading specialist is not special ed

RS is couple hours/day job, where our 30+students classrooms break in 4-5 smaller groups for reading based on student level of reading

RS in our schools are not even licensed teachers, just moms whos kids are in school

They get paid per hour, no benefits though

Welcome anime :) You can send a private message to BeanE along with any links - provided you can prove it is in fact TH, and she'll let you know if you can post them. I have some to send her too, and I don't think it's going to be so easy to prove.

Anyone who believes they can prove that someone online is a case player needs to PM, VM, or email a mod the information so it can be confirmed *before* posting it.

Thanks,

Apparently multiple teachers saw Kyron and Terri leaving the school together.

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5502324/kyron_horman_age_7_still_missing_step.html?cat=17

If this is true it changes everything. Without question.

From the article:

There are reports that several teachers saw Kyron leave the school with his step mother. Help Find My Child reports that "Portland Public Schools spokesman Matt Shelby said two teachers saw Kyron with his mother and thought the two left school together."

If this article is correct then the spokesperson for the public schools is reporting this. Isn't this new info? I haven't heard this yet until now.

I still don't understand why the word "alive" is needed in that sentence.

Since she saw him no one else has seen him alive. So she was last known person to see him alive. NAMUS refers to Last Known Alive also.

Technically....it says what has only been speculated upon in media and not released by LE: potentially some staff saw Kyron with his SM, and thought that they left together. Still rumor, sounds like, and part of the problem - that staff potentially may have assumed Kyron left with his SM, for reasons unknown and still rumor...

Sorry - getting paranoid about rumor/speculation:blushing: in posts....(just edited my post - major spelling errors...sorry!)

I had heard that before - when Shelby actually said it but the qualifier in that sentence is "think he left with her". But I'm will to bet there are people that saw him get in the truck.

It's old info. That came out early on.

Are we allowed to be talking about her FB posts prior to her page going private? I really don't want this thread to be closed before I can come to terms with what is going on :(

This is what I found on her, a profile she posted on LinkedIn it's like a resume almost. And yes says she is a teacher/was a teacher. The icon is her and her daughter...

http://www.linkedin.com/in/terrihorman

Oh and I am new here.. don't type much... but read A LOT, this case has me crazy

I read the "summary" she put on this link about her teaching experience. It sounded strange to me...I have been an elementary educator for 30 yrs and would never write anything like that. moo
