SM as a potential focus of the investigation

Mr. Shelby is the spokesperson for Portland Public Schools and made that statement.

Mr. Keefer is the principal of Skyline and made that little slip about a "criminal investigation" very early on.

Seems since that little "faux paux" of Mr. Keefer - we have only heard from Mr. Shelby.

Thanks. I had updated my post with the link and the quote.

Audreyfan I have been on many and many anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds...And they ALL have seemed to take more than 2 weeks to kick in.
Every doctor I have ever seen has always told me not to expect much from these kind of meds for a month or so.

Allergy pills, especially Benadryl, can have a mood altering effect - calming, and will give you dry eyes. They do me. I have used this in the past when upset and need to not be. MOO

Reading specialist is not special ed

RS is couple hours/day job, where our 30+students classrooms break in 4-5 smaller groups for reading based on student level of reading

RS in our schools are not even licensed teachers, just moms whos kids are in school

They get paid per hour, no benefits though
There is a Masters degree in Reading Specialist...at least in Oklahoma there is...and they just teach reading to students who are below level in reading. But...like you said, they do not teach special ed.

Really? See. Can't keep up.

He said the teacher said she/he thought they left the school together. "Thought" being the key word here.

Here's the link, Tricia:

""There was a science fair here at the school," Portland Public Schools spokesman Matt Shelby told CNN. "You had a situation with lots of parents and friends coming through the school, going class to class." "Kyron was here with his stepmother, seen with his stepmother," Shelby said. [29] The roof was also searched. Portland Public Schools spokesman Matt Shelby said two teachers saw Kyron with his stepmother and thought the two left school together

Hi Tricia, To me that is almost a confirmation of what the Sheriff is saying now.

If these 2 teachers saw Kyron leaving the school with his SM than the SM would be the last to see him before he disappeared, right?

Even if these 2 gals thought they saw this and are wrong, there has to be some reason the Sheriff believes SM was the last to see Kyron before he disappeared IMO. Something we are not privy to yet.

In VA it is an in-demand specialty. It requires post graduate work, and you can't even take the classes until you have already taught for a period of time. I am going back to school to be a teacher, and would like to do this, but I have to do the regular teaching thang first.

A couple of details I've missed in this story..

Where was SM's little girl while she took Kyron to school that morning?

Where did SM say she went after leaving him at the school?
Thanks

We have absolutely no information about where the baby was that day. Nor do we have any info about where dad was that day either.

Every time someone posts about how strange Kyron's arm looks, I go back and look at the pic. I am not seeing it. Kids that age make all sorts of weird poses. I think it is nothing more than Kyron putting his hand behind his back. Because the shirt sleeves are so big, it makes it appear that his arm is back further than it actually is because the sleeve obscures part of his arm that is not behind his back and moreso because of the angle of the photo. I don't think it is odd at all.

Case in point...a friend of mine had a photo of her daughter wearing a pleated dress. Because of he way she was holding her hands in relation to the folds of the dress, it made her her arm look like it was amputated. I know for certain that that was not the case, but the way the photo was taken definitely provided that illusion.

There were 2 different pics, one with the arm, the other not. I saw them both.

I think that if LE is looking at Terri as a suspect, then they have to assume Kyron is dead. Otherwise, where is he? In those very rare cases when a child has been found alive much later, a stranger or strangers had abducted them and kept them alive for their own purposes. But Terri would have no reason or ability, as far as I can tell, to take him and maintain him elsewhere. Therefore, they have to assume, if she took him, then he is dead.

Watching KGW live.

Terri Horman drove out her driveway today and of course wouldn't stop to talk to media.

The truck has been returned.

Terri Horman was the LAST PERSON to see Kyron. Said that clearly.

Investigators are aware of the uncle thing, and are looking at it, but do not believe that it's connected to Kyron's investigation.

Now looking at Lindsey Baum. Her mother has reached out to the Hormans/Youngs.

Sorry if already asked but what is the uncle thing? Have not been able to follow the case as much this week. TIA.

Is the 8:45 a.m. time still the same since I think it was TH who gave this as the time she left the school? Could she have given a false time and did the supposed witnesses who thought they saw her leave with Kyron check what time it was when they noticed them leaving?

What would be the motive for SM?
Would this have been a plan all along?
Strange case...are they still searching the island area?

I can't imagine a motive we can discuss here. It boggles the mind. I did hear on the LOIN they are still diving at SI and they showed a video clip of it.

Please help me remember,(at that age) I've read so
many threads of this case. There was a picture of
him (at school,I think) looking very sad,and someone
posted that it was strange because he was always
smiling.

He may have been told at that time that he was to
leave the school fair,to go someplace and was sad that
he was missing the fair and the talent show that day.

If the picture was taken another day, please forgive
me,but that picture has stayed in my mind, and when
I saw it I thought "he's been given some bad news"

I have prayed for this little man.

If this is true it changes everything. Without question.

From the article:

If this article is correct then the spokesperson for the public schools is reporting this. Isn't this new info? I haven't heard this yet until now.

I remember seeing that early on, in multiple articles, and took it to mean the teachers saw them together (at the science fair) and when they didn't see Kyron later, they thought he left with TM.

Those two pictures are different pictures. His position in front of the display is changed from one to the other, as are his arm positions.

Do you have links to the 2 different photos? I am curious to see then.

No, I wish. Now that we are a forum it is hard to tell unless you can remember what day you saw it. xox

I posted all school pics I could find on the Skyline School thread.
