Yes, I was just thinking that. If you are going to defend yourself, how about something like: I have told them everywhere I was and when, gave them receipts, it's all verifiable....

This is all she's got? All this time, all these rumors and it's this? The one crucial, IMO, link in that day. The one that gave whoever did this, so, so much time.

I can't help but see "shades" of Misty Croslin and the "I seen three" quote.

I am thinking that the LDT was inconclusive. Whatever the results I doubt the TH would know. I don't think they tell you if you passed or not. I wonder if they gave LDTs to anyone else and if they had to repeat theirs?

But I would be begging to go on TV unless they gave me sufficient reasons as to why I should not.
And more than once Gates made it known that they had encouraged the family to make a statement. From how flustered he seemed at certain points, I am almost led to think that the family had to be pushed to make a statement and that makes me scratch my head.

Maybe those family pleas on t.v. aren't actually all that helpful in actually getting the child back from the perp. I think it would at least encourage local people to get involved, to search, to care, to pray, to keep their eyes open.

Maybe the family members are just overwhelmed at the thought of the intrusion of the media into their private lives. Where does it end? Everything they say will give to clues to more information that can be dug up on them. OTOH, with today's resources, it could be that reporters can find out everything anyway.

Maybe they think if they say nothing except thank you and we want you home, Kyron, they can avoid having their private lives, both current and past, made public.

Or maybe some of them are worried about completely losing emotional control in public.

If my child were missing, I would do anything to find him or her. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't wish every little thing about me and my husband wouldn't be either made public or speculated about in the process.

Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. KH (IMO) is showing disgust/contempt and TH shows fear and "reflection".

This was at the second presser. IMO they are "tired of it all" and "just want everyone to go away".

I've seen another close-up of this pic showing just KH and TH - every time I see it - my skin crawls.

Plus she did it cause "TH wanted her story out there". Then why are we not hearing HER story? Where she was, what she was doing, where was the baby? Couple that with the "no concern" for Kyron.

Well my guess would be that Terri is hiding something. However, she wants her story out there because rumors and speculation are running rampant and she probably feels if she gets her story out there (whether it's the truth or not) people will believe it and the heat will be taken off of her.

Having a friend speak for her allows Terri to avoid any uncomfortable questions she doesn't want to answer. I don't know why she didn't give answers to the questions you mentioned above. Perhaps she feels she will dig herself into a deeper hole with the more info she does release? JMO

This statement from her 'friend' is almost as good I think.

Oh and also in that article - it says that TH said that Kyron's teacher is a new teacher - first year - WRONG!!!! It was stated in the media early on that Kyron's teacher - Miss Porter. Well, Miss Porter has been at Skyline for the past 2 years - so - oppsy there TH better be careful with your words.

Actually, 2 years and 42 weeks--according to the school website--that would mean 3 full school years. Hardly a first year teacher.

Sometimes the results are inconclusive. I just looked it up to be sure by Googling the phrase "polygraph results".

I just cant get passed his project pic......that shows he was there that morning....unless the person with their daughter in the back ground has come forward and said that they had visited the classroom on another day and wasnt there that morning.....why is LE asking for info if anyone had seen her that day....or the day before.....I would think....since she volunteers there....there would have been plenty of children, parents, and staff that would have seen her......what is LE looking for by passing out those flyers???.......I dont get it......do they have info she wasnt seen that day??

They aren't doing it to find out if she was there; they are wanting more detail (if anyone can recall it) about timing, actions, whereabouts, etc of Terri and Kyron that morning. Terri obviously told LE that she used the truck that day and so putting the photo of it in the flyer helps people make a connection and can jog memories. I think it's that simple.

I'm saying maybe Terri wanted her friend to believe what she's saying about other things, so she told her friend she had already passed a lie detector test. But maybe she really never took a lie detector test. Remember, the friend is only saying what Terri told her, and we don't know how truthful Terri might be.
(The friend doesn't say whether Terri is claiming to have passed or failed a lie detector test.)

I think it is a fact reading that article that tomorrow's LD test will be her second one.

However your point is well taken. She might have alluded to her friend she 'passed' { which one doesn't do, pass or not pass acc to how LE refers to it} when she didn't. Would she ever dream in a million years that her friend would talk to an investigative journo and her comments would be published in the paper. Holy Horrors!

If TH didn't get cleared on her first LD test would she have been told that? I agree with you she would try to put her best foot forward with this friend. Anyone would if they were called in to take a second test !!! Not good IMO

I can see why the friend made the clarification about the doctor appointment being for the next Friday, but it doesn't make sense why TH would even mention it that day during the hectic science fair. She'd already brought the paperwork and spoke to the teacher the day before and had the next week to make sure the teacher got it back to her. It also does not make any sense why the teacher would have thought the appointment was for that day when she hadn't even given the paperwork back yet unless she thought it was a seperate appointment.

Another strange feature of this article: wasn't the polygraph question to LE the press conference ender, with no comment as their response?

So...friend leaks that SM is taking a 2nd poly, revealing that a 1st one was done? Maybe someone didn't like the glare of "no comment" as though she hadn't taken any tests and wanted it to be know, yes: I did.

I'm going to take a guess and say that SM has probably been on the internet and read everything out there about herself. I know I would. She knows the questions being asked about her and the suspicions. It probably is killing her to not be able to defend herself but I am sure she doesn't want to make herself look any worse, either. She clearly has no clue that most people with a missing child would not be thinking about going to the gym or putting little on their posts. I am not saying this makes her guilty but it makes her look guilty. I wouldn't be surprised if she asked her friend to give an interview and give her alibi, I mean story, especially about the appt confusion. I am sure LE knows about any appts she may have had and that may be one of the questions on the LDT.

I just watched the press conference and I'm starting to think it is that simple, too.
