I agree, I think we will hear from Burke at some pioint in the future after his father passes away. When he has his own children, things will completely change for him. I think what happened at his house in Boulder Colorado on Christmas night 1996 will take on a whole new meaning and he will be unable to keep quiet any longer.

I was talking to a friend of mine who counsels and works with murder victim's families. What he feels is dependent on what John knows or does not know is John hopefully had excellent support from that day on. Has been able in a safe environment to working through his issues . If not he may even coast looking perfectly adjusted to some. But the sword will drop. If he knew or was awake its like the clock ticking. The day will come. If it has not already.

SuperDave says in a post above that he doesn't know to whom at the hospital PR may have said that about not being able to take back some things. So, frankly, it seems pretty unlikely she would have said such a thing to any complete stranger who then would have reported or sold it to the tabloids. We'd better throw that out. I was fooled at first too. It sort of sounded like PR, didn't it? Could that be a clue?

I just read an article in one of the local newspapers about "the best kept secret of thieves and locksmiths." It's what they call a "bump key." A bump key is a key that has been filed to be very thin; apparently, it's enough to defeat almost every lock from here to Timbuktu.

If there as an intruder, and I admit to sitting on the fence, he might have entered the residence using a bump key. :waitasec:

It does sort of sound like something she might say, but we have no proof whatsoever that she actually ever said it.

I think she was pretty guarded, knew she couldn't trust anybody who might hear her say anything, except at first when she was so sedated talking to Pam Griffin. ("We didn't mean for this to happen.") We have to know who says she said it before we can just fall for it.

I tell you there's someone into psychological identity theft, projecting himself into someone else to see how it feels, the shadowy figure who slept in JonBenet's bed, a good example. I think he also at times pretended to be Patsy, maybe when writing or dictating the RN. Just trying on other people for size, for no-telling how long or how often. Must be quite a game.

Projection is one of the ten basic defense mechanisms, elementary psychology. He projects his guilts onto other people, criticizing them, probably. I think it's called scapegoating.
