During a rocky, on-off, 17-month courtship Shrien Dewani rejected sexual advances from his fiancée, Anni Hindocha, because of infertility problems which he tried to treat by travelling alone to Thailand for a Thai boxing course that would raise his hormone levels.

And instead of a honeymoon in South Africa, the new bride wanted a divorce.

These startling claims are contained in a statement made to Scotland Yard detectives by Anni’s cousin and confidante, Sneha Hindocha.

I was just about to say that Thai boxing as a cure for infertility seems an unlikely story to me.....

Also....infertility doesn't mean a person can't have sex, surely? That would be impotency, which is not the same thing at all.

I wonder if there is any medical record of the infertility?

One question that springs to mind after Shrien Dewani's revelation that he's bi-sexual. Did his wife know?

It strikes me here how much the absence of tv cameras drains the #DewaniTrial of the tension so notable throughout Oscar Pistorius's trial.
