Tongo: I told her. She wanted to know whether I knew the names of the tourists. I had forgotten the names by then.

Tongo: But I said, I know where they are staying.

Only a few days after he met them, hours after he had seen them and he had already forgotten? Why wouldn't he tell them their names if he wanted to be viewed as innocent?

I wonder if Tongo is being vague because he is being untruthful or if he really isn't very bright. If Annie's murder happened as he said it did, I don't think he can be.

Tongo: She left. I left with the police officer. We passed one of the flats. It was obvious something happened there.

Tongo: we went towards town, where the tourists were staying.

Tongo: Mr. Dewani approached me while I was sitting down. He wanted to know if I'm alright.

Just whizzing back a minute - the part about Dewani staring into Tongo's eyes via the rear view mirror rings true to me. That's the kind of detail that doesn't appear in a completely fabricated story, in my opinion.

I believe that too Z. But jeez, I'm getting lost in all these people he's talking about. What he says about the police is strange too.

Tongo: From the time I arrived at the hotel, he (Shrien) was coming to me every now and then

Tongo: He kept on asking if I'm alright and if there's anything I've heard. Did this really take place?
