MM: I wanted to go hear how they going to do it, to make sure things go according to that plan that was going to be discussed.

MM: I didn't have control of it. I was just going to make sure it happens in the manner, that doesn't mean I was in charge of the whole situation.

Now defence are trying to suggest MM was the master planner? Because he wanted to know how the killing would be carried out? But as he didn't even turn up for the meeting in the end, that doesn't really add up.

MM: its something that came from me, no one else, just something i wanted to do for myself.

VZ: who would attend the meeting.

MM: Abongile, Zola and I. But I didn't go.

VZ: what time was this meeting going to be held?

MM: there was no time.

VZ: where?

MM: that was not discussed with me.

VZ: but you first spoke to Tongo, what did he say?

MM:he told me he would take them to a restaurant & then it would take place. I knew it was going to take place in Gugulethu as to where I'm not sure.

VZ:then you phone Abongile, what did you discuss?

MM: Abongile (Qwabe) told me they would get them after the restaurant.

MM: Abongile told me as Zola would be returning from restaurant, would get them in Gugulethu. They were going hijack them.

MM: they were going to take Zola out of the vehicle, then drive to Khayelitsha. ..that it will happen when they return from the restaurant.

Van Zyl: how were you going to make sure it happened? Why would Tongo get in touch with you and not Qwabe?
