There is no record of his call with ZT, when Tongo said he is in the restaurant with the couple. MM doesn't have explanation for this.

MM: What I am saying in relation to time is the truth.

VZ: And what i am saying is that YOU, sir, were very much in charge.

VZ: Yes. And all this for R5000 that you didn't know if Tongo or Qwabe was going to pay you. Do you really want the court to believe you?

Traverso: I have two questions for you about these important phone calls, And before you answer, bear in mind that the prosecution & defence agreed that these records are correct. The 1st call is when Tongo received a call, while you were driving with him.

MM: I agree there is no record, but Zola received a call in my company.

Traverso: The other NB call is the one where Tongo told you he is at the restaurant. Do you agree that then the other important call is when Tongo told you he was sitting with the couple. So the records are wrong?

MM: Maybe he deleted the call. I don't know

MM: I tried to make some communication to find out if it happened

MM: Sunday.

MM: When Abongile (Qwabe) came to visit me.

VZ: I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about Saturday night. You knew the lady would be killed.

MM: I don't deny that

VZ: Did anyone report to you whether this happened or whether the operation was a success?

MM: No
