The only version we have, is that of Tongo. The mere fact that there was telephone communication between him & the accused cannot corroborate what was said between them.

We are not saying there was no conspiracy. Clearly there was a conspiracy between Tongo, Mngeni & Qwabe. The question is, was the accused part & parcel of that conspiracy? Tongo is the only witness to testify that the accused was part of the conspiracy
