Brilliant marketing.
She got some free tickets which is what I would have asked for in the first place!

Free tickets for life!

I would totally sue them if they did this. I would call it "public humiliation" and I would say that "I wasn't dressed skimiply" (sp?)?

I don't think people have a constitutional right not to be embarrassed...especially when their own actions are a major contributing factor.

wouldnt it be hard to prove you are publicly humiliated when you choose to tell the world about it? i mean if it was so traumatic that you need cash would you go on every tv show that will take you to say "hey this air line thinks i dress slutty!"?

Well, Kyla has cashed in. I knew this was coming. :D

A 23-year-old college student who was told by a Southwest Airlines employee that her outfit was too revealing to fly is wearing even less on Playboy's Web site.

Kyla Ebbert appears in a series of pictures - some in lingerie, some nude - under the heading, "Legs in the Air."
"They're very tastefully done," Ebbert told The Associated Press on Thursday. "I don't see anything wrong with the female body."
Playboy contacted Ebbert's attorney to pitch the idea of posing. After "a little bit of talking" to convince her mother, Ebbert agreed. She said her boyfriend supported her decision, but "the most hesitant one was my dad."
On its Web site, Playboy says Ebbert "was too sexy for Southwest Airlines, but she's perfect for Playboy." Ebbert said she was paid "less than six figures" to pose, but wouldn't give the specific amount.

Playboy must be getting desperate for models.....legs in the air?..air in the head would be a better title......I had nothing against her until I seen her on DR Phil the other day...she was out for money from the start imo.

She's just trying to use this as a springboard to Playboy, or some other magazine that specializes in flesh. The old adage; there's no such thing as bad publicity. Give us a break; she probably knew exactly what she was doing. She needs to stop with the , "Oh, I'm so innocent" act.

Buzz I agree with you on the 15 minutes thing. I would put money on it that we will see her in Playboy or similar mag shortly.
You were saying Buzz?

This woman really must have been so embarrassed by all the attention to her body on the airplane.Wasn't that her chief complaint? What a manipulative dingaling.

Her parents must be so proud.

I think the line:
"She was too sexy for Southwest, but she is perfect for Playboy" says it all.

I wonder what her grandma and grandpa think?

From the Playboy link:
Thankfully, there were no incidents when Kyla flew American to Chicago for her Playboy shoot. Kyla says her whole experience posing for Playboy was a dream come true. "I've wanted to do it since I turned 18," she says. "The Playboy shoot was amazing."
Given her troubles in the skies, we felt obliged to ask one final probing question. "Yes, I am a member of the mile high club,"

Such lofty aspirations.

Her complaint was that she was kicked off a flight and told to "cover up" more of herself before she could board the next flight.

I don't blame her for doing Playboy - she is 23, she will never get a better opportunity than she's getting right now - plus she's a waitress at Hooters - the money probably looks pretty good too. She'll probably be Hooters star employee for the next year!

Geez, I have seen more skin on the red carpet than she was showing on that flight. Would I wear what she was...nope, but I'm a long way from 23 and at that age I wore some pretty sexy stuff out at night myself. If you've got the body, are over 18 and it covers as much as a bikini what's the big deal? Unless we are all for women wearing a BURKA in public we'd better think about condemning a woman for baring all in a magazine that's been tastefully (and successfully) featuring nude women (including Marilyn) for what, 50 years now?

BTW, I find Playboy more tasteful than that horrendous "Bachelor" TV show IMO. That looks like a freakin' HAREM for the sultan to me and is offensive and demeaning to the women.

And while she is USING her experience for her own benefit - NONE of it would have happened if some overly-judgmental SWA employee hadn't decided to bounce her off a flight she had already boarded. This is America, land of opportunity and this gal is just making the most out of HERS. Might not be what WE'D do but since we are sittin' here online while she's gettin' paid to look hot I'd say we should be happy we are here in the USA where we can ALL say what we think and DO what we like (so long as it's legal).

Isn't it FUNNY how they always say..."The photos were "tastefully" done!?!" How can hanging out your "🤬🤬🤬🤬 and twat" for all the world to see be "tastefully" done?

 :silenced: She is a slutty :loser: IMO.

Sorry, but to promote the objectification of women as a "better opportunity" is truly a sad commentary and sells her short.
To compare this to wearing a burka is just an extreme comparison and has no validity IMO.
Of course she has the right to do this as does Playboy have the right to publish what they do.
But as a woman I would hope we would have some advancement to our place in society than it was oh say 50 years ago. I'm not even a feminist, but if my daughter told me she was posing in Playboy, I would be pretty disappointed.
The objectification of women will always be around, sex sells and that is a fact. But I have confidence that most women can achieve much more and set loftier goals than "looking hot and getting paid for it".
Whenmy sister and I were 21and 22 we were also asked to pose for Playboy. We were poor college students living in poverty, but we didn't even think twice about it. They offered us 25K apiece but we weren't even tempted. Even at that young age, I knew there was more to my being than men looking at my privates.
Do I care that she did it? Nope couldn't care less. just glad she's not my daughter.

But to be fair I am not so sure those are her tatas, I belive they once belonged to a plastic surgeon.

No, they belonged to Dow Corning or Dupont, and I think they should be sent back - not the right size for her body.

I would be embarrassed to walk around in public like that, but that's just me.

Oh well, she peaked out already, and it is all downhill from here. Maybe a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 movie is in her future. No doubt she'll get an offer. She's an aspiring actress you know.

Her parents approved of what she did - maybe lots wouldn't, but HERS did. And they are the ONLY parents who matter.

Why are people so offended at nudity? Paintings and statues all over the world where women are displaying their privates and THEY aren't considered "sleazy" - and don't give the "art" excuse either, when those women were posing a few thousand years ago I doubt the public considered them "art" then. Nudes are nudes no matter what CENTURY they were immortalized in.

Kudos to ALL the women who didn't pose for Playboy - but that was YOUR CHOICE and I for one, am glad you had that choice to make. However I do not think that choice makes you a better person...just different.

And yes, the Burka is valid comparison. Right now smoking, which is legal, is being banned in places considered private property. And people are just sitting back and allowing that "right" to be taken away because smoking is dangerous for some people and purportedly is dangerous for people around the smoker - even IN OPEN AIR PUBLIC PLACES. We'd better be careful because that's a very slippery slope. What is to stop Playboy from being banned because it's "dangerous" for some men to look at? Perhaps it might soon be dangerous for scantily clad women to be in public because some viewers might become aroused and uncontrollable - can't allow THAT. And what's to stop bikinis from being banned in public because THEY are dangerous for some men to look at and offensive to some others - both men and women? Smoking is just the latest "prohibition" and the darling of the politically correct. Next it could be some other legal but controversial vice - like girlie mags and gentlemen's clubs.

Europe quit worrying about nekkid pictures a LONG time ago and wow, the worlds oldest cultures have not collapsed into moral decay and madness. Holland - where live sex shows, marijuana and prostitution are all legal and ADS feature half naked women is still flourishing after centuries.

Many people love the idea of subjecting others to OUR way of thinking, no doubt. Happy I don't feel the need to do so myself. And no, I don't think that posing in Playboy dooms the girl to a life making 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 films - big LEAP there and not supported by the history of the thousands of girls who have appeared in the pages of Playboy thru the years. Based on what I do know, it probably dooms her to a marriage to someone with money and power who wants a trophy wife. I'm thinking there are worse fates.

So, I am not climbing up there onto high moral ground - it's a nasty fall and I certainly have no intention of risking my neck balancing up there just to snark, feel superior and make ugly comments about someone I do not know and have no right to criticize. I don't find that saying things intended to make someone else feel bad for doing something she wants to do and is legally allowed to do, the least bit rewarding personally.
