That is just the thing Jbean the airline did not have this policy.
On the same airline on the flight home she wore the same outfit and the stewardess complimented her!!
If they want a dress code FINE but they need to apply it equally and have it known before someone buys a ticket.

They do have this policy and I posted a link earlier with their printed policy that we are bound to when we buy a ticket.

I guess the airline could have a dress code policy,but what would they say:

#16 - wearing skirts short enough to reveal your panties while in a sitting position is not acceptable.

It's a bit silly isn't it? In fact the policy list would have to be quite lengthy to cover everything. It all comes down to common sense,whether it be lady wearing a too short shirt to reveal panties, or a man wearing his slacks so low you can see his butt crack.

It's come down to this,if people don't know how to dress properly while in public,than they have the problem,and they have to deal with it.

BTW,I always fly first class on Northwest and have never had a problem with the flight attendents.Can't speak for coach though.

THE girl did ask fer a blanket, from the stewedress. The stewedress gave her one, (a blanket that is) and the girl covered herself up.

There is an old saying 'Don't where the uniform if you don't want someone to expect you to do the job.' As I once explained to my nieces, when you see a person in a Police Officer's uniform you assume he is a cop. When you see a woman with her goodies showing you assume she advertising the merchandise that is available. I think young ladies need to be taught modesty. There are many parents that are annoyed that movies are shown that may not be suitable for children on board. They either contain scenes of "implied sexuality and or violence. Many parents and other groups have commplained. But the airlines are going with the times and the "desires" of the adults.

So in an a vague analogy, don't watch the movie. Oh yeah, If forgot, you can't change the channel, leave the plane or "choose" not to watch the movie as again you are in the air.

Lets look at the fact first and foremost at what "Hooters is all about" her "choice" of employment where "she is expected" to display her "wares" and "depend on her "sexuality" for tips and "cater" to men.

It is not so much her choice of dress, it is the conditions upon which others are subjected to her dress.

A girl watlking down the street in a short dress or skirt, you may be for 5-10 seconds and then shake your head. But being held "captive" as in her own personal audience on a plane with families and children.

I do not think she is that bright, gee, do you think she depends on her body and looks to get by. You can "profile" a person from their actions' or lack thereof and have a "fairly" good idea of other personality traits.

People who do not depends on their "sexuality" or bodies(except of course "entertainers")learn to develop more and better "quality" character traits.

I agree also, you are a "paying" guest on an airline, but unless your name is on the side of the airline and it is your own private plane, you abide by the rules of the airline.

Let's not forget that the girl's top was so low that you could see her cleavage when she was getting on. I wonder how much? She did agree to pull her top up. She's got a mini skirt on to begin with and high heels to make it even shorter.
Unless she had an aisle seat, that must have been a sight as she had to crawl across other(s) to get to her seat. We all know how unladylike that goes when trying to get in or out.

I'm kind of suspect about this girl's motives being that this happened two months ago. She said she wants the airline to admit they were wrong. I'm gonna agree with Buzz and say it's now for her 15 min of fame.

Interesting. So she can handle sexual jokes and innuendo in the work place, but a male flight attendant who takes her aside and tells her that her outfit is too revealing is so embarrassing that she cries for the whole flight and calls her mom when she lands?

Since none of us saw the way she as dressed when the SWA fkight attendant corraled her, we can't have an honest opinion on the way she was dressed. I can easily imagine her outfit was a lot more risque than what we have seen on TV. It wouldn't take much of an adjustment to put her in the rated dress category. If she wants to show off her goods, she should get a job at Hooter's where more revealing outfits are promoted. Oh wait, she already works at Hooter's.
