This whole concept is too silly to even consider. Yeah, that's what rich kids do on their Christmas vacation from school--they sit around, read the Bible, and write essays after looking words up in the dictionary.....LOL

I think the dictionary was dog-eared to the word "incest" because neither John or Patsy knew if that word applied to young children playing "doctor" with a paint stick.

Okay, so how does that make sense? Is their evidence the paintstick was even used for something other than the garrote?

Why would they dog-ear that page if they are trying to cover tracks?

I think it was because they had to prove to a certain someone that it was improper to have sexual contact with JB and thus that certain someone could be charged and that it was morally wrong. That certain someone might have thought it was okay to have sexual contact with JB...albeit a delusion to continue his denial. Just guessing, of course.

So, why dog-ear the page? Why not just look it up again. When my parens wanted to get something across to me they just said "no." They didn't look up definitions. Don't you think they should know it is wrong for Burke to have sexual contact with her anyway? They needed to look that up? That's absurd.....

Dog-earring seems to be somewhat of a personal habit, IMO. I don't like to mess up book pages by doing so as I'd use a bookmark. However, some people do. Anybody know if a R family member was notorious for dog-earring? I doubt a stranger would peruse an R's dictionary and dog-ear.

Agreed, I dog-ear my pages, I have tons of bookmarks, I just can never get used to using them.

Yes, there is evidence the paint stick was probably inserted into her. A splinter.

Wasn't it more like a tiny flake of cellulose that could have come from the paint stick? I don't think it was positively identified as wood, much less as coming from the paint stick.
