Found Deceased Spain - Julian Cadman, 7, Barcelona, 17 Aug 2017

  • #41
I do not understand the logic on why Julian's father would keep the fact his son was alive but injured from his family. But I hope and pray he is alive.

Exactly. For the Spanish reports to be correct, it would mean that they are basically accusing Julian's father of lying to the rest of the family about Julian's whereabouts.

I very much still have hope for Julian to be found alive, but false reports help nobody. The search for Julian needs to continue.

No.....I trust the Dutch news, because they proved to be very accurate in the past with former attacks in Europe. We will see....discussion about this is not important...The little boy Julian is....

This isn't a 'my newspaper/news source' is the best contest. The authorities have confirmed that a mistake was made by the reports.

I feel even more sorry for Julian's father. He has just flown across the world to find his missing child and see his seriously injured wife, and he now has to deal with people accusing him of secretly knowing where his child has been all along. :(

I'm not sure how this squares up with the Websleuths mantra of being a victim friendly site...

The UK Foreign Office don't get it wrong so surely there sources should be a lot better than a newspaper?

I'm sorry for any part I have played in this. We all desperately want young Julian to be alive. My heart breaks for his mum and dad. Hopefully there will be news soon.

Because with so much to think about, families can be highly disoriented. So, he honestly forgot to tell his family because of the frantic to do list.
For having read Spanish news, in Spanish, they don't even imply the slightest "father was lying about his son".
Even Spanish people don't say so

You are totally right about the "news thing".... for the record: I was not speculating at all, neither accusing anybody (father) Keep it nice...I will.

Andrew Cadman, father of missing boy Julian, has arrived in Barcelona and was driven straight to the Ciutat de la Justicia

The poor man was mobbed by photographers at the worst time of his life. It looks like he was taken to the Court of Justice I'm possibly wrong with translation.

How do you think he was told when he was in the air for about 20 hours?

And if he was told before his flight that his son had been located im positive he would of rung his family before getting on board that flight.

I still think Julian was sadly killed as he would of been with his mother who was also badly injured. I hope I am wrong though and he is being looked after by a local hospital.

Nobody intends to cause distress to Julian's family, I know that. I'm just pointing out that Julian's family has made it clear that they don't know Julian's whereabouts, and it must be very distressing for them all to see reports that say that Julian's father was informed of his whereabouts. They will feel like Mr Cadman is being accused of keeping this information secret, even though that's not anybody's intention.

Told before

Not necessarily

You're right, wait and see

Australian officials have taken the father of 7yo Julian Cadman to the major justice/forensic centre in Barcelona.

I'm so sorry this development is not good at all.

I can't help wondering if they are taking Mr Cadman to a place where they may have an unidentified body for him to look at. :(

Hopefully not.

No it isn't, they would have taken him to hospital If Julian was there
