His comment makes me wonder how much he does know about her mother going missing and if there is any connection. Before he said that...I didn't suspect anything.

I thought that too. Was Stacey 17 when she met him or when she married him?

Stacey was 17 when they met. She was working in a hotel and met him there. His department was concerned about them dating because of her age, but the DA said no problem.

They married 2 years later when she was pregnant. Third wife must have died sometime about that time or shortly after.

I personally think the affair probably started BEFORE she was 17 and this is why Drew made it a point to ask the legality (he was a cop and he darn well knew) of her age because he wanted a witness to when the so-called "new" affair began. I think he had her under his control long before then and the reason she never told anyone she knew him before that.

This would have been reason for him to be involved in her mother going missing. Maybe she found out about the affair and was going to turn him in.

wow, this just gets more fascinating the more info I find out. Anyone know if Greta is covering this case again tonight?
Of course she will. She is hunkered down in Bolingbrook, IL!

Star Jones supposedly reported on CTV this afternoon that "according to Drew" he told police that she took $25K cash, the deed to the house and went to jamaica.

It goes to show how vindictive this man is. Another man would have moved to the other side of town and have tried to make it less painful for her...especially since she agreed to give him a fast divorce to marry his pregnant girlfriend! Her sister said last night, she felt sorry for Stacey because of the baby so she put off the property settlement and gave him the divorce.

He is a 🤬🤬🤬 and always has been! :furious:

The first wife was a whole lot nicer than I would have been....and she still wound up dead. :(

I'm wondering the same thing and I hope the police are looking into this. It's possible this guy is a serial killer of women he knows who get in his way...

I havent commented until now but I believe twhere there is smoke there is fire and in this case it started as a trickle and will end up a raging fire.

This case so reminds me of the Timothy Boczkowski case. He was convicted of the murders of both of his wives by drowing ( one in the bath tub and the other in the hot tub) and recieved life w/o parole in one state and the death penalty in the other.
here is a link to some background info on those murders.. scroll 2/3 rds down the page.

In this case I think Petersen is guilty of murdering his former wife and likely his MIl ( who is "missing") as well as the murder of Stacey. I think there is waaay too much here already.. indicating that this is likely a murder not a deliberate running away as he seems to be trying to convince all who will listen. Its highly possible that when they find Stacey , they may find her mother nearby. certainly convient that she was so young when her mom dissapeared.. makes her more dependant upon him emotionally and financially..

I am feeling the same way you are about this case. It seems his comments are helping me to form this opinion too. I sincerely hope they do some serious investigating into the disappearance of the mom as your scenario seems so reasonable in light of all the info that is coming out.

I just mapquested the distance from Blue Island IL to Bolingbrook IL. It's only 26 miles from one to the other. Blue Island is where the mother went missing from. If Stacey knew Drew at that time, the disappearance of her mother is a whole other ball game now. IMO!~

Star Jones supposedly reported on CTV this afternoon that "according to Drew" he told police that she took $25K cash, the deed to the house and went to jamaica.

So, if she took all that cash and went to Jamaica, why report her missing? If my hubby took that amount of money and told me he was going to Jamaica, I would head for the nearest divorce court and would not even be concerned where he was.

I want to hear from wives # 1 and 2 (if they're still alive).

I don't think Drew reported her missing; I think her sister officially did. That said, I think he is a total :liar: and that he has killed Stacy, his previous wife, and possibly Stacy's mother, too.

You are correct the sister reported her missing. The sister also called him asking about Stacey and he said she left him or something all the while he was out of breath. The sister was outside the house and neither car was there. When she went back by at 2:30 AM both cars were back at the house.
I am wondering if he had some help disposing of the body.

I was thinking this too. Her mom and three of her sisters are deceased. Her brother is a RSO. I think Stacey was highly vulnerable for an older male to "rescue" her and take care of her.

Who is the "mother" that her sister was talking about going to see instead of painting?

I knew that her mom had disappeared and one of her sisters died last year, where did you hear that she also lost two other sisters?

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/632386,CST-NWS-bside02.article

When Stacy's mother left for good, it came after Cales experienced crippling personal loss. Cales lost one little girl in a Downers Grove house fire in 1982 and then another child to SIDS in 1987, said Candace Aikin, another of Stacy Peterson's aunts.

"The first baby dying was just too much," Aikin said. "The second baby dying was way too much."

Relatives filed a missing person report, but it never resulted in any solid leads, Robison said.
This is about her other sisters. Then the last sister died of cancer more recently.
