Maybe when Drew left the kids at Sharon's for 15 mins he drove Stacy's car off to (the airport?) and walked back.

ETA, wait, did sharon notice the cars missing before or after that? lol. I need to reread the timeline......again.

According to reports, Stacy was on the phone with Bruce shortly after 10:00am and they talked for a bit.

Sharon had gone to the grocery store at 9:40am and returned home about 11:55am. She had purchased Halloween lollipops for the kids and called the Peterson home. The 13-yr-old boy, Kris, answered and was hemming and hawing. DP took the phone and said Stacy had gone to see grandpa and run errands for him. DP told Sharon he'd bring the kids over after lunch.

DP took the kids to Sharon's house about 1:00pm and said he had to run a quick errand and would be back in 15 minutes.

I think this gives us the time line for when Stacy was murdered. I think she was killed between 10:30am and 11:45am

The scenario: DP kills Stacy in the bedroom and then stashes her body in the master bathroom, locking the door. He quickly and quietly slips out of the house and moves Stacy's car - either to Clow airport that's a block away, or at least around the corner on another street. When he tells the kids that Stacy went to Grandpa's, if they look they will see her car is gone, and certainly when he walked the kids next door to Sharon's house they wouldn't see Stacy's car in the driveway. DP told Sharon he had to run a quick errand and would be back in about 15 minutes. I think that during that 15 minutes he moved the container from the garage or basement to the master bathroom and placed Stacy's body in it. He then locked the bathroom door again.

Sharon reported that both cars were gone after 1:30pm.

All we know is according to Sharon is the kids, esp the oldest boy was upset because Drew and Stacy had a bad fight. That must have been one heck of a bad fight to upset a teenage boy IMO.

Yes, it must've been quite a fight, and I wonder if the poor kid felt a sense of "deja vu" as well, as years ago he would've heard his own mother and DP having similar fights....following those disagreements, his own mother turned up dead and now Stacy is missing and pressumed dead too. He is old enough to understand and reason, which probably makes it harder on him.

I always confuse which one is which, but Kris, according to the family timeline, is the one that answered Sharons's call about the candy and stammered when Sharon asked for Stacy, then Drew got on the phone. I bet Kris was very stressed out with Drew standing over him.

I always thought he used the 15 minutes to move her car. But it was gone before that. So where did Drew go and how did he go? If he didn't leave in his car, then he must have gone back to the house like Leila pointed out.

Drew moved Stacy's car quick! Drew saying he woke up at 11am and Stacy was gone is very telling. IMO, he slipped out moved her car, came back by 11am and pretended to the kids he had just woken up. Him moving her car after he killed Stacy would explain the cadaver dog hit, IMO.

it says Stacy called Bruce, told him she was laying in bed. 10:09am to 10-28am. Things evidently went downhill very fast. Drew either didn't like what he overheard or he told Stacy she couldn't go and she told him to F/O.

My theory is that after she talked to Bruce at 10:09am...a fight occurred and he killed her. He had the container in the bedroom and put her in it immediately...put her either in the bathroom or the closet. THEN..moved the car before he thought about taking a shower! If he killed Stacy soon after 10:09am...he had until 11:55 am when Sharon noticed her car was gone!!

Sharon had the kids for 30 minutes from 1:00pm-1:30pm, I believe is the timeline. He got the kids out of the house so he could seal the container and take care of the clean up. Normally, he would not have asked Sharon to watch them....as he seems to have left the children with the older two several times that day and night!

That's the thing that's not known........if DP actually got in his car and left or if his car was there. I would imagine that Sharon was busy with the kids and not observing cars coming and going at that point. She's firmly stated that both cars were gone at 1:30pm, so evidently after DP picked up the kids from Sharon, he left them in the care of the older two boys. Nothing is known of his whereabouts from then on.

He didn't have much time, he had to account for Stacy because her family was expecting her. He couldn't take the chance on them showing up seeing her car in the driveway when she was lying dead in the house. I think the car was moved before 11 and that's why he stuck with that.

Yes, the only person I saw go in the front door was in a video showing his mom and step-dad use it. In fact he led the LE in through the garage entry to the house.

The garage is a mess, but you could back it in enough to load something without someone seeing what it was.

It does explain the cadaver hit on her car. If he had just killed her and moved her body into the bathroom and locked the door so the kids wouldn't wander in there, he would have the scent of a body on himself.

I think Stacy's car was moved very quickly after she was killed.

It could not have been much before 11:00am!! The fight had to last a few minutes, at least, after the phone call...then after he killed her it took a few more minutes to figure out where to put her and come up with a game plan. I don't believe he was worried at that point that family or anyone else was coming by that early...but he knew that Sharon might be out and about therefore would notice. She would be immediately suspicious if the car was there and Stacy wasn't...probably because it was out of character for her.
