I don't think DP ever, in his wildest dreams, thought Stacy's disappearance would get the national media attention it has. He thought her disappearance would remain a very local event. He'd have to explain to Stacy's family and friends that she had disappeared and would have to make it look like she had run off with another man. He never, ever, thought Stacy's disappearance would lead to LE re-examining Kathleen's death, or that he'd have Fox News as well as all other major news networks camped out in his front yard watching his every move.

Only been there twice in Dec 07. Was a WGN van and a white suv with a gal reporter in it...
No cops anywhere either.

While I believe in freedom of the press, I don't know it serves a purpose at this point to have them camped in front of the house. We are all tired of seeing DP come and go which adds nothing to finding Stacy except to perpetuate the disdain most feel for DP. It might be better for the media to camp out at Steve C.'s for awhile and put some pressure on him.

And at Mike Robinson's house while they are at it.

Oh, thanks. I couldn't imagine that Stacy would've left them alone like that.
Hopefully they have a sitter because it was also late (9:30pm) when Stacy met her friend at Denny's when Drew showed up.

I agree that not every house in the burbs has all the toys ..but to me it just goes to show that all the important and minor toys seem to be Drew's. He has the camper, the motorcycles, the pool, the ultrlight, etc...they have a nice home, fairly large backyard..I just would have expected something to show of the younger kids being there. Stacy didn't work, they weren't in daycare..so if they are such an outdoor family and so family oriented where are the toys that two and four year olds play with? My recollection of that age is that a hike turns out to be more of a carry me experience. Not too many two year olds inline skate or play soccer.
I did preface it by saying it was a small thing, but to me it seems like their life was just more geared to Drew and the older boys, not the younger two children.

Maybe they brought all the outdoor toys inside for the winter? It was the end of October when Stacy went missing, so that could have been part of their "winterizing" ritual.

I did see photos of Stacy wheeling her 2-year old daughter around in a wagon on a trike. I think the kids DO have their own toys. We shouldn't over-analyze this or be overly critical on the family. The pool is a FAMILY toy. As is the camper. And the yard.

I am thinking that these two young boys must indeed have such a connection to the little ones, that to split them all up would be another crime.

On the other hand, they all deserve to be with family that loves them. Kathleens mom and dad seem rather old to take on the two boys, as I recall.

The tots most likely will fare better not being able to put all the pieces together at this young age. IF they are placed where they can be loved and enabled to thrive, and continue to see their 'brothers', maybe will work itself out over time to their advantage.

For the young boys it will be a totally different outcome, with horrible memories of their parentage that will shadow them for the rest of their lives.

.

They cannot split them all up. Legally the two older boys were Stacy's son's. I'm sure there will be a custody battle, but the attorney will certainly argue the fact that ALL FOUR children were legal children of Stacy (and Drew).

It snowed here pretty heavily last night. And looking at the snow and the way it is covering the ground, the freezing temps and it hit me. Chicago is colder and snowier than here. It is most likely that Stacy will not be found until spring or after. And there is of course the possibility that she will not be found at all. No one likes to admit it, I don't even like to admit it- but there is every possibility that she will not be found. It happens all the time.

When they did the canal search..somthings besides vehicles were pulled from the canal the first day or so, before they started to drain the canal.

The ISP said they would be looking at everything that was pulled out.

Then they drained the canal and stated nothing was found. I keep hoping that something small was found, that was the resaon for draining the canal . Also while ther was live coverage Drew had stated to reporters that he spent the day watching it with Brodsky..if he did do that then he must have been afraid they would find something..why else watch with your lawyer when we know Drew has had no interest in any of the other searches?

Stacy may have not been left at the canal, but Drew was more then likely there that night, and may have been afraid he left some sort of evidence behind other then a cell phone ping.

I'm still hoping that missing laptop had a tracking device on it. I didn't save the link, but I read last night a LE officer was arrested for taking a laptop home. It had been recovered from a thief, but was missing from the evidence storage when the owner came in to claim it. LE was able to electronically trace it to the officers house, but would not disclose how they did it.

When Sharon was interviewed about seeing the bullet hole in the ceiling of the garage, she said she was helping Stacy move the kids bikes and outdoor toys into the garage when Stacy mentioned the incident of Drew firing his pistol through the bedroom floor/garage ceiling. So the kids do have outdoor toys, but they were being put in the garage.

The pic of Drew P in the People mag dated 12/3 shows a little jungle gym/fort...heavy dutyish plastic with a slide and little clubhouse area. Kinda looks like a fort and its on the back deck. Heck it looks like there's a little telescope attached to it. Looks like a perfect play area for the little ones.

I think it was strange that DP showed that kind of interest in the canal search when he apparently showed no interest in any of the ground searches. Perhaps he threw something else into that canal - like a piece of jewelry Stacy had on, or a cell phone, or something along those lines.....something of Stacy's that would connect him to being there.

Maybe the ground searches weren't televised like the water search was............just a thought???

Very little of the searches were televised. The biggest was the canal. Search areas weren't announced prior to the day of the search with the exception of the canal search. Waterways were searched that we heard of briefly after the fact. I think its been very hush hush.

The Amazing Kreskin has been a frequent guest on TV and radio talk shows. He said Wednesday that he will issue a news release next week with details of how he plans to assist with the investigation.

Can't wait to hear what he's going to do to aid the investigation.
