You guys, IMO, Cassandra needs to stay off the Stacy site. You know her posts will probably used against her now.

I totally agree and have been thinking that for awhile now. She needs to not

Because he didn't realize that Cassandra would be such a powerful source in thrusting this investigation forward. He thought that he could say she ran off and assumed that Cassandra might think that was possible because of the marital problems, the counseling, Stacy wanting a divorce. He would answer Cassandra's call thinking it added to his aliabi.
He never counted on Cassandra's quick uptake on what was really happening that night. He never thought the police would persue this once they heard his side or take this any further..afterall he is an upstanding police officer..inforcer of the law.

I think you hit the nail on the head.
Imo, DP was so sure of himself, since he was a police officer of course, he felt that his story would be unflappable and he thought his alibi would be tight. He didn't count on Cassandra!

Either way is bad. Holy cow, Drew and his attorneys have offended all women, men for giving them a bad name, people who take sleeping pills and antidepressants, people who go to church. Wow.

I forgot that Brodsky slammed the clergyman tonight too. He said the clergyman should keep everything in confidence so that tells us all about his character if he's telling anyone what Stacy told him!!!

However, I spoke to Joel Brodsky, who is the attorney for Drew Peterson, and he told me that that phone call lasted for four minutes, different from what was suggested in this story, that it lasted for a while, as opposed to not being picked up at all. I said, How do you know that the phone call was four minutes? And Brodsky said, I have reliable sources. And he said, If the media can use reliable sources, so can I.

I watched the repeat broadcast of Greta and listened carefully to what Joel Brodsky said..........

In regards to Cassandra and Stacy he put it in the form of a question. Why did Cassandra file a missing persons report at 4:00am? Why was Cassandra out running around at 4:00am? He said perhaps she (Cassandra) knew more about Stacy's habits than she's saying and she was waiting for the bars to close.

So Bordsky WAS slamming Stacy inferring that she goes out to bars until they close. I think Brodsky is doing all he can to make things worse and to make people angry. :furious:

Yes close_enough, Brodsky made some comments that could very well rival Drew P's comments. Go back one page on this thread. I don't have cable either, so I have been reading what the others have written and waiting on the transcript.

I was just reading over at the family website, and there was a post that the Army Corp of Engineers is going to come in to help with the search!!!

Evidently the body of water they want to search (a canal) is a junkyard of debris that needs to be cleared, including old cars. So the Army Corp of Engineers is coming in to clear the canal.

I wonder though, if Tom did answer the phone and talk to Drew. Drew involving Tom would make more sense if Drew needed a live person to answer on the other end. Otherwise, Drew could have just set his phone on silent and left it in his house while he went to Shorewood to call from Stacy's phone.

Ok, let me ask. If you were Drew, where would YOU dump a body?

I'd dump a body by the closed down Division Street bridge as opposed to the 9th street bridge ANY day. Since it's a dead-end road that no one travels on and the area is HEAVILY wooded, the privacy there would afford him the luxury of taking his time disposing the body and he wouldn't have to worry about a passer-by seeing him there...

The 9th street bridge area is a residential area on the Lockport side, so depending on who was up around 11 p.m., someone MAY have seen him over there. On the Romeoville side, it's more industrial...

I think Drew didn't dump her into water, I think he buried the container, IMHO, and the perfect place to dig a hole would be near the defunct Division Street bridge because of the privacy and lack of traffic in the area.
