Juan's Rebuttal
Here is a list of some of the things stolen from Jodi's grandparent's house.
#1--CD player with 2 detachable speakers, black in color, three disc changer with cassette and radio-unknown brand.
#2--Magnavox DVD player model number DP100mwbb.
#3--25 caliber automatic pistol 3 to 4 inches long 3 to 4 inches tall.
Black with black grips with a loaded magazine with 7 rounds of jacketed hollow points.
No serial # for pistol.
The gun was very old.
#4--A 20 dollar bill and a 10 dollar bill.

I was thinking it would be great if some how Juan has found out the remote Jodi said she came back and gave to Darrel Brewer was for the DVD player that was stolen from the grandparent's house and Darrel still had it.
That would prove Jodi stole everything from her grandparent's.
Maybe that's a zinger he's saving for the rebuttal and the bombshell of the whole trial.

Every Salvation Army store has 6 of those DVD players - they are worthless. No meth head would steal that. Gus was in Santa Cruz on the 3rd. Paul Stern and MM (or DB) gave her $ right? Maybe she threw a leg over Gus - who knows.

Didn't ALV use emails from Chris and Sky (?) Hughes heavily to disparage Travis, saying they proved that he was abusive to many women they knew? Then later CH said he really loved TA? I have always been confused by this. Have the emails involving the Hughes' come out? Sounds like "Et tu Brute?" to me.

I could be very wrong but the way I took it the DT and ALV used a small part of a long email exchange and twisted it to fit their meaning. Just like the bit from travis to Hughes. It wasn't until Deanna testified that we got the true meaning of that one, and it had been blatantly misinterpreted by DT...

IMO...I could be totally missing something.

As if they were his ONLY friends, and were such geniuses about everything because they warned him off her. Well, he still kept on seeing her, he just kept it hidden, which made him more vulnerable. He was also now dealing with an ostracised seething Jodi .. a Jodi who was building resentment. They were part of the perfect storm. A little self reflection wouldn't go astray, but all they show is smug superiority.

I am not knocking your criticism. Everyone sees from a different set of eyes. I just think, even if he was the biggest AH on the planet, he in no way deserved to be slaughtered, similar to a grizzly bear attack. My son is entering his teens, and that arrogance is starting to show. I stay on him though. Arrogance, and smugness are not attributes I will tolerate from my own flesh and blood.

Is that what you got from my statement? That be deserved to be slaughtered? NO ONE deserves that. My comment about arrogance was pertaining to the virginity thing. Arrogance doesn't equal *hole.

I have two brothers under the age of 25. They both can be arrogant. They certainly don't deserve that. I put myself in Travis' siblings shoes and I would be devastated if something like this happened to one of my brothers.

I hope reminds the jury in his closing that T was a human being. I wonder if be could play one of those videos of him wearing that wig and short shorts. He was funny, goofy guy that was loved.

So it's rather confusing but some of her point was: the naked photos from the bed were from another time. Arias even tells that to Flores in the interrogation.

How could it be from another time? Her hair is brown in the pictures. Jodi admitted she colored her hair when she returned to California and we can see she still had streaks of blond showing through in her pictures with the dog. The picture she took of herself right before going to Walmart her hair is brown, no blond whatsoever. Her hair was blond the whole time she was in Mesa, never brown.

I think there's a little more to it than that and it has to do with those letters and related issues -- maybe Travis' journals. Just a hunch, though.

sometimes not calling witnesses is strategic. remember that whole issue with him being accused of feeding the state info? even if it's untrue you don't want to give thhe jury the impression that someone is not forthcoming or that they are shady. that's all i think it is.

the videos and things i've read that were written by travis. he's not really arrogant but is kind of cocky. i'm sure part of that was a bit of a show, i've known people who act like that, they want to appear to be confident and sure of themselves in front of others. in his career he was expected to be a great motivational speaker. so he was learning to do that, he wasn't perfect he may have seemed full of himself sometimes, but over time he would have become more professional.

i'm sure jodi's 'worship' of him helped his ego. she really stroked it.

deep inside i think he may have been somewhat self conscious and over compensated. the fact that he did fall for jodi and her bs kinda shows a bit of that.

just my opinion.

Yes, I'm aware. Am I not allowed to make any criticisms? I think it's clear he was arrogant. That's not a horrible thing. Many men in my age group (late 20s to mid 30s are). I'm just stating my perspective as to why I think he continued on with the facade.

He was a human. I think it's bizarre that so many people here want to make him into a perfect person.

I do see how it could possibly be allowed. Since he's not an MD, he's not qualified to testify about the autopsy or anything to do with the injuries. Besides, he's not there to testify about TA, he's there to testify about Jodi.

I think this is quite significant and I wish my original post (to this) wasn't deleted!

Arias was not there earlier in that day therefore, Travis did not let her in. She put those earlier photos-- of her in braids and Travis with KY-jelly (from April) on his camera from her camera.

She most likely did this after she sneaked through the back window (screen evidence #52) which happened to be his office window where his camera was located. He was probably sleeping because he told his roommate via phone that morning, he had been up all night.

I have little doubt that Arias sneaked up to Travis while in the shower and that was the beginning of the end.
There is no way that I will EVER think Travis invited her in that day. No way!

I have to ask. Do you think there's a possibility she could get 2nd degree or manslaughter? The closer we get to the end, the more worried I get.

I KNOW this is completely different case with much more solid evidence...but I can't stop thinking about what happened in the CA case.

Yeah, that business about the email is disturbing. I've had friends who dated people I didn't care for, but it would have never occurred to me to send of an email about how poorly my friend treats those of the opposite sex.
I don't say this to be evocative, but somewhere in all that is someone very unhappy with their sex life and interjecting themself into that of others.
