I thought they were in evidence. Didn't Kurtz refer to them as an exhibit today and then show them to HP to get her to say they pushbacks?
Yes, he showed them to HP...

Yep.. and that person has mysteriously left the building
No exaggeration there johnfear![]()
That's very very strange. Are y'all sure they were real to begin with, and if so would they normally check something like that? I would think they would especially in cases like this, but.....so odd.
I think I've listened to the video that this confusing question was posed. I think one question by the prosecution was - what concerned her the most about the divorce/separation, money or children? She said money. It was a huge concern for her. How would she live? And then later on redirect, I believe the witness was asked what did brad care about more, the money or the kids and this was objected to. The rephrased question was - what did nancy care more about, the money, the kids. The witness said the kids were always what Nancy cared about the most.
If someone else wants to review the video and tell me I'm wrong, but I think that's kind of how it went. The witness had a different definition for concern vs care. The prosecution lady asked a very poor question, in my opinion. She led the witness to say "money" when I think they both were talking about two different emotions.

Thinking about the testimony that Nancy at one time said she wanted to move out of the Lochmere house because of the fact that Brad had sex in the house....think it was HP testimony. Occurred before the Canada move plans. Said that they had looked at other houses in Carey. Did I get this right? Just thinking it would be great if they have a witness who knows they had looked at the neighborhood where her body was found which would give Brad 1st hand knowledge of the neighborhood. Fingers crossed...
I didn't get to watch any of the testimony today but I'm very surprised by this. Diamond earrings I've owned or seen have screw backs. Hope the prosecution had them tested - perhaps Brad did switch them out for CZ's.
It sounds like the witness was saying that NC was more concerned that she wouldn't be able to make ends meet than she was concerned that the separation/divorce would have a negative effect on the children.
Watching HP now too... and I agree.. best friend witness for sure. So sad.
I need to go back and listen to HP's testimony about the earrings. Did she send an email or phone Dismukes?
For some reason, I had the impression that it was after autopsy was released and she came to the same conclusion we did about an earring being missing. Of course, that's probably me confusing what I've read on here and imposing those thoughts on the witnesses.
Agree with you there. I don't have the time to watch any of the trial so most of what I've seen has been what I've skimmed here and what I've read in articles. But, I keep thinking that surely they have something more solid if they went to trial.
I understand folks' point about how a lot of things look exceptionally suspicious. But, if you step away from this particular case for a moment and look at the big picture, it's a little scary that someone could be sent to prison for life based on some odd trips to Harris Teeter, the fact that all his neighbors hate him, two missing left (or right, whatever) shoes, and some atypical cleaning.
:seeya: Second time posting, but the first one was this morning on yesterdays post. You guys are great with the information! Very easy to catch up with the posts here. Thanks!
This is OT, but I had (note had, not have) a pair of diamond earrings with pressure backs, so they do exist. They shouldn't, but they do. I lost one the day before a move across the country.

Just out of curiosity, what was the total carat weight of those earrings?
I'm wearing a pair of pressure/push back diamond earrings right now. This is the 2nd pair I've owned. The husband traded my old ones in for bigger ones and those were also push/pressure back. I was not even aware they made screw back earrings. Learn something new everyday.
I learn something new every day as well. I didn't know that diamond earrings came without them. I've never seen that. Ever.
O/T, you want screw backs.
