Right...because there are no experts without degrees. You know, people like Bill Gates. I guess he wouldn't be an expert either since he dropped out of college to form a little company called Microsoft out of his garage. I think experience means more to expert status than degrees.

Like I said, if one is to be deemed an 'expert witness', one must have an extensive educational background, along with continuing education, certifications, membership in professional associations, much like an 'engineer' working towards and accomplishing the goal of 'Professional Engineer'. Who know's if Bill Gates would be qualified as an 'Expert Witness' or not? He'd have to be questioned on his credentials in that field.

I think he may have his own company now. I am not sure.

According to linked in he does...and has been running it for 4 years.

ETA: It's a small 2-4 person company with annual revenues between 500K and 1 Million specializing in Network Penetration Testing, Network Vulnerability Assessments, Application Vulnerability Assessments, Computer Forensics, Risk Assessment

This jury is constantly needing breaks? Aren't they on break when they aren't in the courtroom?

Kelly

i think there's at least one smoker in the bunch (judge mentioned a smoke break one day??)

The jury has been sitting in the jury room, waiting for court to begin this morning. Wish they could be made aware that the delay was caused by Brad and his posse.

why are we in blackout?

  • #166
why, if this guy is so good...why has he had so many jobs? if he is a keeper ..someone would have snagged him and kept him

He is so good that he now owns his own business.

Wake up, Chad. I can't see.

This jury just boggles my mind. NEVER seen anything like it.

they are asked to come to work at 9:30 they deserve to know when court is going to start since they were on time...

  • #169
the pros never said he was on their witness list..they just said that they were given the discs 4 mins before court started..and they knew they were on the defense witness list..but they would have to question him to see if he was an actual expert

Wrong. Later, go back and listen to the recording from this morning. He IS on both lists, not making this up!

WRONG. That's not the definition nor qualification of an expert witness.

heh.

He's having his 15 min of fame. And he is taking every last second of it.

And we're only up to 1999 with this bank stuff.

< yawn >

Is he as knowlagable and more expert than the FBI?

nyet.

Now, now, '74 -- let's just ask him...

Oh, there is that 'thwart' word!

  • #174
I still can't believe you guys are blaming this on the defense. They came ready to do this in front of the jury, and the prosecution did a last minute motion in limine to do this without the jury. So, how exactly is this the defense's fault?

  • #179

if he was on their list..wouldn't they already know if he qualified as an expert?
