Detective Greer took measurements of BC's car's wheel base.

  • #342
The defense said they had phone records that showed it was made on Wednesday the 9th (the first was the 8th where just Clea was said).

Thanks for the clarification.

'Gone fishing' means that Nancy went out, had plenty of gas in her car, and left the door unlocked the previous Wed or Tues. If the door was usually unlocked, and others were welcome to come and go, it means that someone could have been lying in wait for Nancy ... after Brad and the children went to bed. It's a stretch, but it's fact that the doors could have been unlocked and some one else could have taken Nancy from the house.

Ohhh Myyyyy That is not only a stretch is doesnt make sense at all..What would be the motive??..Unless Brad hired somebody to do this....I tend to think thats just a red herring speculation

Detective tested brown substance on outside of door handle at 8:45 pm Wed. July 16.

  • #345
Brad's car examined at 8:45 pm on July 16th.

  • #346
Trunk lid examined for fibers, hair, blood... Streaks in carpet appeared odd. Dent. Missing tool from tire changing kit.

  • #347
A dent in the wall of the trunk? I hope he's not suggesting that the dent was made by putting a body in the trunk.

  • #348
Thanks for all the reporting, everyone... I just pop in from time to time but I really appreciate it. :)

  • #349
Photos taken during process. Hair on interior of trunk lid. Collected. No smell. Cleaned/streaked area was 4-5 inches across like a shop vac...

  • #350
Hair in the trunk? Did Nancy ever put anything in the trunk?

Streaks in the trunk? Brad said that he cleaned the gas from the trunk.

Waiting ... anything else in the trunk?

  • #351
Hair-like substance in front wheel well.

  • #352
Trunk tested for blood. Negative.

  • #353
Hair in the wheel well? She wasn't run over.

No blood in the front seat of the car.

Where is this going?

  • #354
This witness sounds like he has a bit of a New Orleans accent.

  • #355
Something that could have been blood in the right front seat (although further tests show it wasn't blood). You guys would be killing the defense if this was being presented by them.

  • #356
Waiting for them to say whose hair it was...and I believe they can tell if it was hair from a live person or a deceased one. Seems like we discussed this years back...someone let me know.

What are you talking about?

The phone message on the Cooper's answering machine was from a friend (Clea) telling them (the Coopers) that HER (Clea's) door was open and to come on in and take the salmon out of the fridge. It was obviously the evening they were going to have dinner @ Clea's house.

It had no bearing on the state of the Cooper house, their doors, or anything else.

No blood in the front seat of the car.

Where is this going?

It almost sounds like the defense tactic of throwing a bunch of stuff out there and hoping something sticks.

I don't remember that discussion. Would that capability exists within hours of death?
