Haven't heard them trying to explain the disappearing sweater....wonder if they will come up with a scenario for that.

I would think he'd totally skip over that, but... after his brilliant close on saying Jason's shoes made those prints... I dunno! This has got to be the strangest close for a defense ever!

Although to be fair, Howard C. has had some really good direct and cross exams in this trial. I'm quite critical of him (and I think for good reason), but he has surprised me in a good way a few times. Maybe the 'ole man can pull some cohesive thoughts together and spit 'em out in a reasonable timeframe.

I think Klink is doing fine. With the hush puppy shoes he was offering alternatives, not asserting anything. There was no proof that JY's feet were in the shoes, and there is no other evidence to indicate that he was at the crime scene.

I think JY also testified that he thought MY donated the shoes to Good Will. I don't think he was certain what happened to them.

Basically says JY was so stupid about covering up his affairs he couldn't have pulled off the murder. Agree, Klink, he wasn't the best. He should have handled the keycard thing differently.

Well, in this case the prosecution seems to be using that as a big reason for why he would have committed the crime. Otherwise they wouldn't have spent so much time on it, asking witnesses such as JY's mother who apparently didn't even know about the affairs, etc.

I've researched my databanks and have never heard a closing like this - so far off the mark so far. Have you? Surely something like this has happened before?
