State vs. Jason Lynn Young 03-01-12 (A.M. session: DT closing arguments)

Klink is using way too many phrases in his closing that the PT can throw right back at them in their closing.

I hope they do, but they have not really done anything we thought they should all along. jmo:seeya:

So a random killer comes to JY's house where his HP shoes are not supposed to be (anymore) because JY had instructed his wife to discard those very shoes, and she did.

Is he trying to argue the person who purchased those shoes from Goodwill later came back to murder MY? :waitasec:

/no logic; does not compute

No way anybody who thought the state had no case would have ever thought the defense attorney would stand up and say those may have been Jason's shoes there, just not his feet.

This is easily the most bizarre turn for a closing I've EVER seen.

One technique is to steal your opponent's thunder before they speak, but I've never seen it employed by actually making the points for the opponent.

Maybe Klink can object later about PT having 3 hours of time left when he's spent 30 minutes making their case?

"Darn, those stilettos will NEVER fit me--better go over there to that other closet!! Nope, nothing here, better check out Goodwill!"

saying they looked in MY's closet for shoes first and than moved her body and went into Jason's looking for something... and got the shoes... and got a little bit on the shoes and that is why the print is so faint

((this is utterly ridiculous!))

This is so bad! I thought the HPs went to Goodwill! Now they are agreeing it was HPs!

ETA Backtracking on that now

Remember the Jim Carey movie (one of my favorites) called Liar Liar where he's a trial attorney and suddenly he finds he can't lie?

Just sayin'

This is a low blow by the PT to leave their notes on the podium so Kink would read them.

Thanks for saying Jason's shoes may have left the prints! Another point for PT.

Who else would have worn them? C'mon Klink you know you want to say it: Flying Goth Killers did this ladies and gentlemen. FGK's with a fetish for other people's shoes!

Low blow......LMAO!!!!!!

The attorney kind of stuttered his way through his windup about the shoes. He knows the shoe evidence is what can - and I hope will - convict.

:-O

So he's admitting his client LIED about the HP shoes being at Goodwill. Thanks, Klink. He just placed JY's actual shoes AT HIS HOUSE IN HIS WIFE'S BLOOD. :rocker:

Do you think the PT will be able to deliver and use this stuff handed to them by the DT

"Michelle was a meticulous person..." She may have been "meticulous" neat, organized, whatever. But from the other pictures taken throughout the house, there was plenty of clutter. I can't stand clutter, and Mr. Litig8r is the same, so our house stays pretty clutter-free. But, at times--our closets are the one things that can get messy. We know JY is a slob, and although Michelle may not have been a slob, I think all this "the closet has been rummaged through" is worthless... That's all he's got? Really? And ita, thanks for confirming the shoes were NOT at Goodwill. I SO hope the PT picks up on that...

Actually, I think I see what he did here. I believe Collins will follow in on the shoes being in the Goodwill bags in the closet and garage. I don't see that as a big miscue, but I could be wrong.

Someone please tell me that the jurors are seeing what we are seeing.
