We have no idea what the temp in that house was but what I would consider cold doesn't matter. What matters is what Shelly considers cold since she is who testified she didn't take her coat off.

IMO

It apparently needs to be repeated. Again. :banghead:

:woohoo:

They are discussing CY's footrprints now.

How did CY get back out of the bathroom?

Not really.............look at the angle of the prints.

I don't know how anyone could get her out without making a print of their own.

I am more inclined to think went in there by herself, especially after hearing testimony there was blood in her shoe..

Someone would have cleaned her better than that.....

I'm sure someone has checked into it....but there are 2 different size shoe prints. There was a witness that saw a vehicle with a female and a male inside. Does MM have an alibi? What size shoe does she wear? Is it possible that she helped JY?

I think she had a alibi. she was at home with her child while hubby was away. im sure phone records would reveal that. moo

The best prints (both shoes) were found on throw pillows scattered on the floor, near the body.
Here is an example of both the size 12 Hush Puppy (he owned) and the size 10 Franklin sneaker on the carpet, in front of the bed (heading out)

During the testimony about the shoes, the camera zoomed in. There was no visible blood so it had to be tiny spots.

Where are all the similar bloody prints just on the carpet outside the door then? Either she was picked up/ or they were wiped in some way.

Did they say how many adult shoe prints were found? I've seen the carpet shot JTF posted; wondering how many were on pillows.

I think M74's post might have been directed toward my over-winded, caffeine fueled paragraphs on the glories of HVAC. :truce:

Lol, no problem GG.

I am sort of starting to enjoy your posts.......

One pillowcase had a full print in the size 10 and partial in the 12. CY's print was also on it.

I found it strange she was barefoot .

Michelle was pregnant, I wouldn't be surprised if her feet were swollen and wearing socks in bed would feel restrictive and binding.

I never wear socks to bed, no matter how cold it is and definitely not when pregnant.

Did they say what direction the shoe prints were pointing? I really wish we had a diagram.

It is Cassidy's prints that are very difficult to figure out.

There are pictures of her going in, but none coming out.

And, someone would have had to really really lean over to pick her up without touching the bathroom floor themselves.

I found this video last nite from the courtroom, that really raises questions.

Let me see if I can re~find it.

I don't agree. Simple for a man to snatch her up from the bathroom floor and not enter the bathroom.

It looks as if the HP is on the left foot and the franklin is on the right foot the way they are positioned in the photo.

Testimony showed when they sprayed more luminol on the carpet, more of her prints showed up that were not seen at first glance.

All this time she was carried, she may very well not have been.

Here is a link to luminol for some of us non~experts on the subject:

She could have walked off the blood on her feet just by walking around the floor and smearing her feet along the wall where the blood smears appear to be.

By doing so, she is eliminating some of the blood on the bottom of her feet and the remainder could have dried by the time she exited the bathroom. (ETA any remnants on her feet could have made the lighter prints that were picked up by the light used by forensics)

Once she got into the bedroom, there is now wet bloody area again for her to step into to again create more bloody foot prints into the bedroom.

To me, I don't think it's a big mystery how this could have happened.
Another thought is that (to me) it is clear she was shut up in the bathroom for some time. Whomever shut her in there could have opened the door to let her out and she walked to them and was picked up at the doorway.

Any number of possibilities exist that really aren't that farfetched, IMO.

They discovered two different shoe prints on a pillow. One was from a size 10 Franklin shoe; the other a size 12 Hush Puppies brand "orbital" model shoe (which wasn't identified until 2008). Records show that the Young's purchased a pair of Orbital Hush Puppies In July 2005. They were a size 12. In addition, a podiatrist gave his expert medical opinion based on the photos taken 5 days after the murder, that the sores on Jason's feet were consistent with blisters that come from wearing shoes that are too small.

Edited to correct ; testimony vs. expert opinion.

Could he/they have been stepping on the pillows so as not to leave impressions on the carpet, intending to take the pillows to remove evidence? But then, in the chaos of Cassidy coming in, cleaning up, etc., he/they forgot to grab the pillows on the way out, leaving them at the scene? Oops?
