Then why bother putting them on at all? He could've just thrown away the size 10's.

If he just throws the 10's away, then he's got no shoes on at all.

Another pair from his closet or cleaned those in the bathroom sink where the child was standing on the stool at some point. What about barefoot?

Remember no blood in the drains

Maybe someone on the prosecution team should show up in court one day wearing a pair of shoes that are two sizes too small. If they can't fit their entire foot in the shoe, they can certainly wear them with the heel bent down. My kids walk around in shoes like that on occasion when they are too lazy to undue the laces/velcro (so they aren't able to get their foot in properly.) JMO

I didn't quite understand which surface in particular was throwing you off.
Could you name all 3 or a pic of what you mean?

Sorry, grit guy and I were discussing this around 5PM
-------------------------------------------------------------------

One pillow were the Franklins, HP & child's sock

PE papers - child's sock, HP shoes

bed spread - HP shoes.

Carpet - HP, Franklins, child's sock

I think Becky needs to make a graphic for closing arguments, showing pictures of all the shoes with captions explaining who/where/when, etc. they came into play. Even if she has to say Franklin 10 ??? at least explain the others. It's too much of a quagmire to leave the jury without a viable explanation.

I always felt he hired someone but now I think he had an accomplice.

I find that comment extremely interesting. Can you give a quick explanation?

They all seem to be associated with taking care of the child possibly. HP's I mean.

I think the 10 prints were on purpose. I think the 12's were because he put them on to leave in, but his tiny window of time got severely screwed up by his daughter, who caused him to bloody his own, real shoes. If he was in a hurry before, once she woke up he was under the gun.

ETA: really, what good are the wrong sized shoes if you don't leave prints for LE to find?

BBM

Well, you bring out a very good point with that observation.

No, he said Meredith. And I listened to Meredith's earlier testimony tonite, and she said she called him after she got off work on Thurs nite around 9PM and they talked for about 15 minutes about the fight where he supposedly threw the remote control and he talked about his trip to western VA. So maybe MM thought he was at the hotel but he was still on the road. Cracker Barrel is about 90 minutes from Raleigh, and if he left just after 7, he couldn't be in Hillsville yet at 9PM, nor was he checked in by then.

I agree with your post but want to add that I believe she also said they were interrupted by an incoming call from MY as well and he took that one, then called her back. (remember she was saying he was saying he now knew how Gray's Anatomy plot was for that evenings show since he had just talked to Michelle?). - Uggh that whole testimony just makes me sick that she can sit there, testify about this and show not one ounce of feeling about any of it.

There were two calls interrupted with JY calling her back after he took each incoming call.

IIRC

I think Howard should go out to Dollar General and pick up a pair of those Franklin's, and wear 'em, as someone else suggested. I thought we knew JLY was a CSI fan? Much like cop's carry a throw-away *piece*, I think JLY carried 'throw-away' shoes. Everybody, even my 12 yr. old granddaughter, would know to leave false footprints. To throw the cops off. JMO Whether to have two different footprints to indicate two different perps, or whether JLY got interrupted and made a mistake, getting the HP prints. Perhaps he made *one* HP footprint in blood, realized it, and decided he better make more of 'em now. Personally, the more I think about it, the more I think the HP's were a mistake on his part. He really does love his HP's, he wouldn't want to have to *****-can a pair, but he had to after leaving a print. Poor fella. :seeya:

I do not believe anyone has defended JY for all the womanizing and lying, his behavior is not the behavior of any man I know. He is a dog when it comes to sex and NO excuse can make that go away. Did he murder his wife? I just don't think he did. Dogs like that have no reason to kill, they are not even a man in my book. But... I am watching a murder trial and the evidence of him leaving the motel has not been prove to me. There I said it..

Agreed. He was apparently doing whatever he wanted already while MY was around, so why would he need to kill her? His mistresses were married so it's not like they were pressuring him to leave MY for them.

It seems obvious to me that whoever did this in a pair of size 10 Franklins, had to have taken them off. If random murderers are in the habit of bringing extra shoes to an "event", that's a new one on me. So that leave either a barefooted or sockfooted killer, in November, risking leaving an actual print of their actual foot.

I suppose a random killer could have gone in Jason's closet to get another pair of shoes and flopped his way down the steps and out of the house. But if he'd done that, his size 10 little feet swimming in JY's big shoes, he'd have dragged his prints. And slowed himself down considerably. I suppose a random killer could get into the closet for yet another pair of shoes once the HP's were bloody and flopped his way on out of the house for good. But that'd be two pairs of JY's shoes missing, and there's only one pair missing.

I agree! and also a bigger mistake in picking the comfy size 12 HP's as we learn they are rare. I think I remember there were 9 other pair of shoes in his closet. I bet JY wishes he had picked another more common pair. Also I really liked what someone posted above about CY being intrigued with washcloths and shoes. Perhaps because the last thing she remembers before drifting off to sleep is her daddy washing feet and changing shoes.

That's just it.........Jason was doing pretty much what he wanted and his job allowed him to travel out of town.

This also does not add up, he leaves, kisses her goodbye, goes to Cracker Barrel, calls home, listens to her tell him
about Grey's Anatomy, and is thinking to himself, that's the last episode of that she will ever see, because he knows in hours she will be dead.......

So, where was this rage when he called home, it was testified by SS that when he called, everything seemed fine, and we see him on video at the hotel, looking perfectly normal, so where is this rage??

Baby on the way, MY only gone to work 3 days of the week. An extra mouth to feed, less income, wife home for 5 days at a time. More financial pressure, less freedom, only 4 months away.

BUT... a random killer already making prints upstairs isn't going to worry about making anymore going downstairs. There would be the prints all over IMO.

Now that's interesting. The PE papers started out on the bed. The pillow did too? Makes me think all these HP footprints happened after the attack when the PE papers would have fallen off the bed, they were found near the tall dresser? The bedspread would have been pulled/twisted, maybe partly on the floor, and of course the carpet. So yeah, mistake.

Franklins only on carpet and on pillow (same pillow as HP?).

Okay, I just did a little test with hubby. He wears a size 12 shoe, I wear a ladies size 8 I just took my Ryka, slip-on, walking type shoes downstairs and got him to slip those big suckers of his into my shoes and walk around the kitchen in them. No problem. Like he said, "I wouldn't want to have to walk a mile in 'em, but to walk around and leave some footprints, no problem.'
