MM doesn't even realize the impact her affair with JY had on MY in terms of it, IMO, being the catalyst for the murder. And you expect her to remember or be honest about saying ILY? Lol. JTF, you SO know better. ;)

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here, but I don't think MM think JY is guilty, thus there is no catalyst.

But Mrs. Fisher's daughter ended up dead - so just maybe her instincts to surround/protect MY were correct?
How does blabbing about Michelle's pregnancy after Michelle asked her not to, protect Michelle?

As a mother, I can totally get her being protective of her daughter, but it's clear that both mothers crossed the line when they inserted themselves into that marriage, and MY and JY should have never opened that door, though I can understand why MY wanted her mother so much, because JY was useless, IMO.

Time to catch up from what I've missed. :feverishly searching on wral:

I disagree. I think LF would be like this no matter who her daughter was married to. She wasn't married and her kids/grandchild were her life.

Maybe, but shes the one that told Jason in the beginning MY didnt have to marry him. I think she knew. Sometimes u know as a parent. moo

I don't think MM cares what impact her behaviors have on anyone. She didn't care about her friend's murder...she only cared about the inconvenience in her life as a result of sleeping with JY and the media and cops following her.

They both did...she used "ILY"

Yep, both of them had their pants on fire for several reasons, didn't they??

MM is such a cute little tub of nuthin' -- isn't she? Ohhh, just wretch.

Idk. I think she thinks this is all some sort of game. It's like she doesn't fully process that MY is dead and she is REALLY testifying at the trial. She's in a dream world if you ask me. But I def see what your saying. In order for her to feel the full impact of the affair, she would have to understand that this IS reality. It seems MM is only concerned with how things directly affect her. That's her only reality.

And Jay withdrew because of the "internet vigilantes"

:laughcry:

Could be, then again, something about her is just...off, beyond just thinking JY is innocent. Something I can't put my finger on.

Michelle's issues with her past sexual experiences is no excuse to be treated the way Jason treated her, Linda's involvement is no excuse. Why is it people try to find ways to justify why a guy would choose murder over divorce.

Linda is not on trial, Jason is. Linda's involvement in the marriage does not excuse Jason's behavior, it doesn't not make Linda any less of a victim for her daughter's murder. It's not a justification for Michelle's murder.

Divorce is always the option but obviously an option Jason did not choose. Making Linda into the bad guy of the marriage is a great cop out for putting the blame on the person who committed the murder. It's a way of justifying Jason's behavior and that really blows my mind.

If my DW came home and found the furniture was rearranged by my mother, it would probably be WWIII in my house. It sucks when your forced to choose loyalties like that. Granted, your spouse should always be your first priority once you get married, but your mother is your mother. You only get one of those.

I smiled a fake smile a lot. I put the furniture back and smiled. I said or did nothing to cause strife. But when she left...... I had my say. It was awful.

This MM/JY suck-up congratulatory Romeo and Juliet drivel is revolting.

Nice to hear though, as it makes a lie of what was in his email to MY regarding caring about her or their marriage or their time together.

Quoting just because this is such a well put statement!

IDK, who is doing that?

Not I. But the fact is, both mothers were too involved in that marriage. LF is indeed a victim, but she was still too involved in her daughter's marriage. It seems even Michelle thought so, but she was probably torn, because her mother was her source of comfort while her useless husband was boinking and generally being a 🤬🤬🤬.

When i watched her on the stand i got the impression that she really didnt like michelle y. Maybe she was jealous of her. Michelle was somebody she wasnt. moo

Well I think thats's the point. LF's involvement is not justification for murder, but it's also not motive for murder.

I might be alone, but I felt like she was taking little swipes at MY--like about the 10 page email to her bridesmaids, her need to plan and organize, etc...Maybe I'm imagining it.
