Who knows?

I bet the defense is feeling a whole lot better..there was no big moment in Jason's testimony after all !!

:woohoo:

Hey Cammy and E1..:seeya:
Looks like I missed a interesting cross today of Spivy.
IMO.. NO "big moment" because he testified to the truth as for his recall. If someone is telling the truth then it is hard to prove them lying....They don't have to lie if he did not murder his wife and I for one do not believe he did.
The thing that bothers me the worst, some have tried to destroy his life and he is going to have a daughter to provide for.
Can someone tell me how the insurance went from a million dollar policy to fifty thousand?? Was that a leaked rumor? :maddening:

Before I sign off for the night, I want to say I appreciate and respect all viewpoints. It's interesting to read the different angles we all see the case from. We all have valid opinions. I hope Michelle and her unborn baby get the justice they deserve.

Custody is based on best interests of the child. Someone without a home or a job and no savings versus someone with a home (Meredith) ... custody could very well have gone to Meredith regardless of how much money was spent.

Exactly. Besides, he did not give up his parental rights, just custody. He can always fight to get her back if he is acquitted and in a position to properly care for her.

Question for anyone that thinks that JY is innocent or not guilty..........if not JY then who killed MY? What is the motive for anyone other than JY to kill her?

There were 2 policies, Coug..:)

One was from work for $100, 000 and one is the life insurance for a million dollars that she and Jason had on each other.

I thought the Pros was going to prove that Jason tried to collect the one from work, but he did not.

Unless he tried to collect on the bigger policy, which I doubt he did, it really isn't going to matter..

They are really stuck for a motive......

I will preface this by saying I think JY is most likely guilty.

However, I do not think this is a good way of looking at crime. We shouldn't convict someone because they are the most likely person to have committed that crime. Crimes do not always need motive, nor are they always committed by the person everyone assumes did it.

The "If not him, then who?" argument, in my opinion, detracts from real evidence by implying, "well, it had to be him, so what works to fit that theory?"

That is a big one for me. Who else stood to gain from MY's death ? Looking at each piece of this case it speaks to who. IMO.

Money can be a motive without him trying to collect on either policy. In a divorce he would have lost custody of not one but both children. Then he would have to pay child support for both of those children. Based on his work and how much he gets paid that could equal to more money than he was willing to part with. Not to mention the cost of the divorce itself, having to pay a lawyer. Then add to that the fact of his numerous affairs would have been brought to light and used against him. I am not sure if NC is one of the states that adultry is a criminal offense and can be used against a person in a divorce or not, however, just knowing that his life of lies and secrets would be spilled for anyone and everyone to see can also be viewed as a factor in MY's death. JY never wanted children, he wanted to remain footloose and carefree. His apparent views of women is also a contributing factor which also goes to motive. Personally I see plenty of motive for JY to kill MY. What I don't see is motive for anyone else to kill MY.

He was found guilty of second degree murder

How can they not find him guilty in the first degree?

He could get up to 40 years and as little as 5 years.

Kicked in the door, and beat her........stole her computer.

But did not get any other charges.

I am sick.

:(

BTW, it is on HLN.

It is only a part of looking at a crime. There is other evidence against him, however, in the beginning of looking at a crime one must decide who would have motive to kill. Was it a stranger? No, the manner of death shows that this was personal. Someone knew MY very well to have killed her in this manner. That then leads to those closest to her. Out of those closest to her who has the motive? JY does. Anyone else? Not that I have seen. If we ignore some of the things that point to JY as the killer, but that really do point to him as the killer, then we must figure out who would try to frame him. So then that leads back to who else had motive.

Once again, you never know how a jury will decide.

Can anyone tell me about the gloves? Cammy?

It was stated as fact that Jason had gloves in the photo from the Hampton Inn and that these gloves would definitely come in to the trial this time.

Today, we found out differently.
