I think him playing the "Jason could not afford to respond" card is going to backfire. This clerk is awesome.

Perhaps she should slip over to the DA's office and take up residence. :square:

Why does this witness keep smiling at the Pros?

  • #503
It might be muddying the water ... making it abundantly clear that Jason was targetted?

"abundantly clear that Jason was targetted?"

Targetted? Regardless of whether or not one believes there is enough evidence for proof beyond a reasonable doubt.....can anyone honestly say there's a logical suspect to "target" besides Jason? I sure can't. But that's jmt.

I have to admit I am lost.

I have to admit I am lost.

Heck, I thought Spivey was the last PT witness!

I assume we are still in the state's case in chief (was gone for a couple of days).

I did not see this coming!

Cummings is objecting to something.

Maybe the point being that if he was targeted, he knew a criminal indictment was coming down the pike which is why he didn't respond to the civil lawsuit.

I'm lost, confused, surprised, dumbfounded and, oddly enough, this is all putting me to sleep and I'm fighting to stay awake.

Me too, I thought Spivey would be the one to tie it all togther, but he did not do all that well.....imo.

Over million in legal fees? Jason couldn't afford to fight that.

Is his def attorney now going to IMPLY that he didn't answer the lawsuit because the court had access to the criminal investigation files?

fran

I'm not sure. I'm still hung up on how JY can say he couldn't reply because he couldn't afford an attorney but yet his reason for not talking to LE was due to his attorney's advice. So did he have one or not or did it depend on the day and/or question asked?

Re the Wrongful Death under the Slayer Statute:

JY,
icon9.gif
the son of a woman who owns GT $1.1 million worth of real estate assets, is too destitute and too indigent to hire a lawyer to help him defend himself in the WDS lawsuit. It's almost enuff to make a grown person :tears:cry. :anguish:

So sad. Poor guy.:violin: Life can be so cruel sometimes....:whiteflag:

Civil cases are usually taken on a percentage basis. I believe civil lawyers usually charge something like 30 %.

DT showing executrix (LF) received commission of 156,000.

DT stopped there.

A lot of ouches in this line of testimony.

Very surprised that the testimony from the WDS came in. I'd love to see the rationale behind that ruling. That said, I'm feeling so uneasy about this case. After reviewing the information available, I believe he did and may well have had help. OTOH, I'm not convinced the burden of proof has been met by the prosecutors. Ever since the Casey Anthony debacle, I've lost faith in juries a bit. That case was solid if ever one was. Still, I'm hoping the PT ties it all together in closing. JY is just ice cold and repulsive. How in the world did anyone want to have an affair with him? Yuck! On that note, I think MM is just as repulsive as JY.

OOH, HC bringing the autopsy report.

The problem with some of these allegedly well planned out murders, the perp thinks he's smarter than anyone and everyone else.

Of course, they also do NOT take into account, that the crime will be investigated by people who HAVE been trained in criminal investigation. That's their J O B !

In other words, JY is NOT as smart as HE thinks!

Now it's up to a jury to show him how NOT smart he is.

JMHO
fran

They always think they are smarter, it's the classic sign of a sociopath.
