Just curious on what the search warrant on the Lexus was about then?

Could that have possibly been the 'soccer mom' car that Cindy Beavers saw pulling out of the Young driveway between 5:15 and 5:30 am?

LE has to cover all bases. That's their job. They found nothing pertaining to Michelle's car, that's involved with her murder.

I think Ms Beavers is confused on the date she claims she saw that vehicle. She admits she's not 100% positive.

And SS will testify she thought it odd he'd go over his plans to her.

And, SS will also testify to feeling like they were being watched and being so scared she had to ask Michelle to walk her to her car at the end of the nite.

SW's are not evidence...not even close.

Lynx, you may want to e-mail Mr. Collins and tell him Ms. Beavers may have seen the Lexus, cause he apparently was not aware of that.

Well, we know CY was near Michelle as she walked in her blood, (that is so hard to write.....:( ) but what we don't know is why her PJ's are clean or what CY did all those hours alone.

Did you know that LE actually issued a search warrant for Michelle's Lexus, based on these same concerns, thinking that Cassidy may have been taken from the scene at some time, due to the condition she was found in?

That would not surprise me, but nothing was found and because other family members had nothing to hide, they willingly answered questions about there whereabouts and activities that night and day unlike JY.

For a 2 year old to be alone all that time, it's a little surprising that she wasn't upset. She did say that someone was in the house but she did not say that her dad was in the house. I have no idea how a 2 year old thinks, but presumably it's normal for her dad to be in the house - kind of like that's where he belongs - so it seems unlikely that a 2 year old would see any reason to point out that her dad was in the house.

She didn't think was alone, after all, her mommy was with her. She probably thought her mommy was sleeping, even with all all her boo boos. :(

Cindy Beaver told her boss and employees....BEFORE contacting LE.

Gracie told no one at work about Jason until AFTER being contacted by LE.

Not her boss, not the next clerk coming in, no one.

IMO the prosecution failed to discredit Cindy Beavers. Her testimony validated Terry Tillers and even Meredith Fisher admitted on the stand that the lights were on at the end of the drive and also on the porch.

What are the chances of these two women independently describing the same thing? Do they know each other?

O do agree the LE has to cover all bases and that us why the SW was issued. My only question is why wait so long? They knew about Beavers and Tiller early on.

Thanks for answering me!

And, unlike JLY, they submitted to a poly.
Yes, including MF.

The small problem with the theory that her dad gave her medicine to drug her is that there was no evidence of him on the medicine container and there was no indication that the child had been drugged.

That leaves us with the situation where she fell asleep late watching a movie in bed, woke up in the middle of the night, saw someone in the house, somehow her feet got clean - and we also know that she talked about a wash cloth, went back to sleep? and was found after lunch under the covers on her father's side of the bed.

I wonder where her shoes were normally kept and why she would be wearing shoes in bed. I didn't know about the shoes until today.

It seems like the time between the guest leaving and the next day after lunch are a complete mystery that can't be explained with the suggestion that Jason drugged his daughter (because the evidence isn't there).

The shoes were something I picked up on while looking at the crime scene photos at WRAL , but not cause I wanted to see the pics.

I honestly do not know how anyone can look at real crime scene photos unless they are forced to.

here is my take so far (I am a trial newbie and did not follow this case closely)

1) the Youngs had a bad relationship with arguing and petty behavior
2) the Youngs did not agree about their family or how to raise their daughter
3) Jason did not like his Mother in law and she was everything to Michelle
4) Michelle was murdered and Cassidy was in the same room when she was found by her sister
5) Cassidy's bloody footprints were all around the bed but she only had dried blood in the toenail beds of her feet
6) Cassidy was babbling and the dispatcher/investigators missed the chance to learn more from her in the urgency of the situation (jmhoo)
7) Cassidy normally wore a diaper to bed yet all she had on were pjs... not even underwear
8) The sister testified to the lack of romanticism in their relationship yet JY was going ape crap over a purse for the anniversary gift/picture he left out even to include a call from him mother that the sister says she has never gotten a call from on her cell phone before to go over there to the house
9) There is circumstantial evidence that alludes to the possibility that he checked into a hotel but than left and possibly tampered with the doors and the cameras at the hotel
10) JY never spoke to police about his murdered wife. not once. (I have to admit I have real issues with this)

I most likely missed something but the first two days show me a pattern of strange behavior on JY's part on the day Michelle was murdered..

so that was the take from someone who has not had any exposure to all of what is to come that you guys are already discussing (meds, prints, etc) and only based on what I saw today and yesterday.

((Hey Shelby or any others in my boat:... what did you think?))

I do not believe that I ever said that SW's were evidence, did I?

I was merely oping on why LE used the theory that the child could have been removed from the home as to probable cause for the SW.

The part that I have bolded makes no sense to me. Where in my post did I mention Collins?

Yes, you are right.

The search warrant for Michelle's Lexus was not issued until July, 2007, almost 9 months later.

I think there is a real good chance it was indeed Michelle's car, that
Cindy Beaver saw.

Yes, including MF.

And clearly they questioned other family members in doing their due diligence in this investigation. Jason wasn't the only one they wanted to talk to and answer questions. His guilt was not decided on day one, but his behavior was certainly peculiar from day one, thereafter and long before, to say nothing of his unwillingness to answer ANY questions.

I think you did good, although the expression ape crap made me laugh.

My b/f is a Planet of the Apes fan since last summer, and I think I am going to say this to him, next time he wants me to watch it with him.

Seriously, though, you did fine.

I am still amazed that it was not processed when they processed the home. MOO

I hope JY testifies again this time:cool:

Yep...

I was answering a post.

I had noticed the shoes sometime back and questioned that CY must have got up at some point to get them, as I doubt whoever put her to bed, gave her shoes to go to sleep with.....

A stuffed animal or a doll, ,maybe, but not shoes.

I also think she very well may have been taken out of the home for a few hours to calm her down, as you will later hear there were
cars there at a time that Jason could not be......

IMO

Cammy, do you think Cassidy was taken out of the house by an intruder (who killed the mom) & then brought back to the house? Why would the murderer risk that? I may be not understanding you.

TIA. You've been very good w/ supplying your opinions as to JY's possible innocence.

This is the first retrial for me, so I guess I am extra impatient.

Plus, it is a 5+ year case........

But, I am glad to be here with you all and watch you reach
your conclusions......

Some of these posters like Otto, MyBelle and Lynx are great with details.

I am in good company.

:)
