I certainly hope the jury believed Gracie. But I am utterly amazed at how different you guys are treating her testimony versus RZs testimony in the BC trial.

Who is RZ?

Both husbands

- had not airtight alibis
- cell phone usage that was different than before
- would not go to police station to do interviews
- behaviors that others found strange, antisocial
- not grieving
- tried to limit contact of minor children with inlaws and maternal relatives (Cooper kids taken away 5 days after murder by in-laws).
- passive/aggressive and occasionally volatile dealings with wife/victim
- affairs
- headed for divorce or at least separation
- computer usage, specifically Google searches which point to them as the perp
- Both tried to strangle their victims. (One succeeded)
- Both victims murdered in the home with minor children at home
- Both victims had friends/acquaintances who got a distinct feeling something bad was going to happen or something was off before the victims were murdered.
- video surveillance used to establish alibi (but also implicated perp)
- both husbands stopped talking, didn't talk about crimes to friends.
- missing clothes & shoes from night/day of murder
- neither victim was robbed even though there were valuable items available
- both victims said they were done with the marriage. Each was murdered within a short time afterwards.

I think it probably depends on whose witness is making the ID.

I don't want to divert this thread in the direction of BC, but your assertion of limiting contact with children is just plain wrong. The children were taken from BC before the end of the week. Before that time, you had testimony from JA, HP and KL stating that BC allowed the children to go with them under most circumstances. When he asked for his OWN children back, he was being "selfish." BC was the one "allowed" to visit them at the hotel, not the other way around. He invited KL to spend the night at the Cooper home, so that she could be near the girls. It is not the same situation at all.

They are totally different types of witnesses, NCSU. RZ came forward, numerous times, talking about a jogger she saw for one second, a jogger with headphones. Gracie had a face to face, interaction, and take it from me, a *frightening* interchange, alone in a convenience store late at night, with a strange man swearing at her. Can any of us here who follow true crime, even begin to count the number of crimes against lone clerks in convenience stores late at night, especially *small females*? Kenneth McDuff took, raped and murdered a number of just such victims in his crime sprees. Just an example that pops to mind quickly. An interchange such as that is *memorable*, just as Gracie said. 'She remembers the people who swore at her'. She remembers the times she's felt threatened. IIRC, you're a big guy, have you ever worked retail? Alone? At night time?

That's not true. The husband in both cases were obvious suspects.

Oh heck NCSU, if you stick around, by the time you finish out the Raven Abora (sp?), case, you'll detect the same sort of pattern of spousal homicide as the *veterans* here. :great: There is a certain mix of elements, the *sniff test* hit's you very much like the smell of Casey Anthony's car. :maddening:

'Is the person here in the courtroom today?' "Yes 'mam, he's the vampire with red hair, sitting over there at the table, blinking constantly...."

... and he's hiding his rather grey fangs.... :dracula:
