It's funny to hear questions come from the jury.

I like it, it gives a look into what concerns them and what they are 'thinking' about in some cases.

Just curious but does any one on here think JY is innocent or is at least not convinced hes guilty? Just curious.

Based on what I knew prior to trial, I believed that Jason was probably guilty. However, during this trial, I am listening for things that refute that assumption. For example, we know that Michelle had a clump of hair in her hand, but we don't yet know where it came from. If it came from a complete unknown, I will definitely adjust my thinking. We also need an explanation for the 2 sets of footprints. I don't think the two cigarette butts or the hair in a photo are meaningful in the trial context.

Yep ... at least we know they're paying attention.

It makes me a bit nervous when Holt & Saacks whisper to each other at the table....

is it weird that he didnt have any marks on his body if it was a struggle? Wouldn't she of left some kind of mark.

I would imagine he was covered from head to toe in some sort of garment that would protect him. I seriously doubt she was able to struggle once he started the 30+ blows.

Otto, I was out when this question was asked. What was the juror's question, please? TIA.

Yeah, I probably would too. Especially since the hair lady indicated these hairs were forcibly removed. So it isn't like he could grab hair from a hairbrush and put them in her hand. I'm hoping they are hers.

From evidence presented, it appears Michelle was in bed asleep when she was attacked from behind. By the time she realized what was happening, she didn't stand a chance. That was his intent. :(

Surprise attack! of a five month pregnant, sleeping woman.

As for the blood - I would expect that the splatter may have gotten on him - but would have been quickly absorbed by any clothing. It looks like she was trying desperately to get away - thus not going at him with the blood.

And sadly - based on the description of the copious amounts of blood - it appears she bled significantly after the beating

that's sickening to even have to type that.

So -I don't see that he'd be covered in blood or really leaving a ton of blood behind and easy enough to rinse off hands, face (about only thing I would expect to be exposed), change clothes, bag the old ones and no blood trace evidence transferred into vehicle.

MOO

The question was about a piece of evidence, and the answer that it was a sample taken by the medical examiner as a baseline for comparisons.

BBM - Before the trial, I read (N&O or WRAL, IIRC) that the injuries on JY's foot (toe bruise, red marks on the sides of his feet which are visible in the pic) were indications of wearing shoes that are too short and too narrow -- some professional made the remarks.

It rang a bell since I sold shoes in my mother's little boutique during H.S., and I saw this once or twice. Some women, especially heavy and larger women, did not buy the correct size. This was back when the first thing we did was offer to measure the feet with gradations for shoe size and width. The foot might measure 9 1/2 B, but the customer would ask for an 8A. We warned about this as to pain, spinal problems and undue wear on the shoe, but they would often insist and cram their foot in it (true story). And we would ring it up. These were nice, expensive shoes, and I remember feeling sorrier for the shoes than for the wearer. :ashamed: FWIW.

When I heard that there were bills and papers on the floor, I wondered if she was sitting in bed sorting out some financial possibilities for the future.

I missed the photos of Jason's feet yesterday, but those injuries could easily be from wearing too small shoes. I think the prosecution has to make that connection for the jury.
