">Did Josh tell you or anyone you know where he went to college and did he present himself as having a degree in Business?
Yes, in fact he told the family that he had graduated and just didn't want to walk. Additionally, he managed to build up a HUGE amount of debt in school loans. I don't know the actual amount, but it is in the range of $60K.

>Did you ever see a diploma hanging up at his house?
No"

">Would you say Steven Powell held a lot of influence over Josh?
yes

>Did Josh respect him and would he do whatever the old man wanted him to do?
I suspect yes.

>Why do you think Josh wouldn't let Susan use the computer at home?
control issues.

>Did Josh ever tell you or Jennifer why he quit going to church?
He gave reasons, but they all sounded like paroting of SP's anti-mormon retoric.

>Is Steven Powell really supporting four grown unemployed children and two grandchildren at that house?
yes

>Does he make a lot of money to do that or is it draining his resources?
He make a decent income, but nothing extraordinary.

>Is it possible he was hit on the head with a heavy rock as a kid???? (OK, just kidding, sort of...)
Perhaps it would have helped (also just kidding, sort of...)"

When the police cut the carpet out of the living room they took approx. 1/3 of the carpet in that room. There would not have been any reason to take that much if it was just vomit. If it was a blood stain that someone cleaned up they would take that much carpet for comparison test.

I am sure it was blood just not enough to prove she died there.

You are right. I forgot about that part where Jennifer immediately thought they must be at the hospital. Quite likely there was blood. I am also thinking of the "Oucheee Mommy" comment the little one made.

blood would leave a lot of color, cant clean it all out of carpet fibers that quick if at all. poison will make vomit to point of dehydration. had a little dog who was given too much vaccine by vet and vomited up a flood in the utility room, then died.

where was sp's money supply? to pay for legal costs for years and a house like that.

Hoping Susan and Josh would move back with the kids? Maybe he just likes having his freeloading adult children live with him. Then he can control every single aspect of their lives dawn to dusk.

Or peep at them and photograph them without their knowledge too? Gah!

Just looked at the tax info:

5 bedrooms, 2.75 baths, 3200 sq ft, paid $270k in 2004. Refi for $177k, (2nd mortgage?) this past July.
BBM

There goes the house as possible collateral for his bail and most likely the house into foreclosure as he doesn't have a job any longer.

MOO

I suspect that SP sold pornographic videos disguised as Chantry CD's. We all know that there is no way people actually wanted to purchase his "music". He could have even used pay pal or taken credit cards. All he had to do was put a different cd in the case with the Chantry album cover. JMO

There is no way he can support that large family in that big house on 55,000 a year. Look at all of the landscaping he has done, computers he owned, medical costs for 5 adults and two kids.

If this is so, all his family members were subjects in his sicko sexual fantasies because this is why voyeurs peep on others. Gah x 100 !!!.

I guess the point I was trying to make is that maybe it wasn't actually the counselor who recommended it, but Peterson instead. At the beginning there was a news story that incorrectly identified him as their marriage counselor and it sort of 'stuck'.

I think she was going to someone in the church, but I do remember a few thinking it was Tim P. He stated that she shared some of the earlier "sessions" she had had, but after the discussion of recommending the divorce, she wouldn't talk about it anymore.

OK, fine. If that's the case, it was simply a mistake. I am sometimes troubled by the extent to which "mistakes" or "assumptions" or just plain sloppy reporting is somehow translated into "facts" leading to "conclusions" etc etc. But to err is human, no? :)

So. There is no evidence that any marriage counselor ever "urged Susan to get a divorce"? Is that correct? Does anyone know otherwise?

Can't buy the carpet being stained with blood. Not that large of an area. Josh's you know what would have been hauled down town on the spot.

My guess is vomit or...well, some other bodily function. Or a combination of the two.

Thanks, hollyblue. That actually makes a modicum of sense. The marriage counselor encouraged them to set goals. Susan set some goals relating to their involvement with the church. She set timetables. No doubt, she discussed them with the counselor. This is normal counseling behavior. The friend, and probably others, felt she should divorce him. Perhaps she intended to, and it appears she may have said so.

But nothing in that article suggests that any marriage counselor told her she should divorce him.

I wish it were so. Although the doctor-patient privilege may protect the session records, under circumstances like this I believe a professional would be entitled (possibly obligated) to cooperate with LE. I wonder if LE have approached their counselor.

Steven's father was married 4x and his mother 2x. Not Steven himself. He was only married to Terrica AFAIK.

I'm sure we talked about. It's probably in a video, article or thethread with the posts around 12/22. Here's the posts under search for "counselor, divorce": http://www.websleuths.com/forums/search.php?searchid=4690122

It upset me that Susan was to set goals and a timetable for JP. That's an ultimatium...not compromise and negotiation in a marital dispute. You can't make someone do something they don't want to...so Susan should/could have set a timeline and an ultimatium upon herself, but not realistically JP. imo

I had not thought of that! The Chantrey website as a front to sell kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬! I hope LE is checking every bit of traffic that purchased anything through that website.
