Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter, Is Dead

She is strong, that is what Steve liked most about her.

She will just be wanting it to be over and done with.

I don't know why we have to hear with our own ears, how sad/devastated she is....morbid curiousity I guess..

Bless her, she is an Aussie in my book.

The one of 'our' people that got the interview, is probably no better than Walters.

I suppose all Aussies here know, that the 90's ABC tv show Frontline's main character Mike Moore was based on Ray Martin.
He will be more concerned about how his hair looks than Terri's feelings.

Well, I hope that goes ok anyhow.......for everybody.
I left you an answer Narla in the PM.....
I was working on pictures today for my sister, I'll try to send some along by tomorrow.
When is this interview....was it Wednesday...this coming? .....Yes, Teri appears strong. But, it is very difficult.......even when your strong, to speak words about someone who left you so suddenly and unexpected. As what happened with Steve.
Gosh,I locked up trying to go hear that song again and I wonder if I try if it will do the same. I hate computers sometimes. Then again, I love them also...LOLOLOLOLOL......Oh typical woman problem here.
Teri sure is an Aussie......and will always be......take care......Sundayrain.

I know Dingo that was a sad story too.........
The heart.........just about the worst place for the barb.
I still find myself humming his song.......without even thinking......
Your hearts are going to be broken for awhile. I wish I could be there and we could have a gathering. Always thinking of the Aussie girls......and your beautiful country........and Steve. He was special.
Hi Sunday:) ..you keep humming and think of Australia and think of the things Steve loved..

But this should be it...I wish it was a bit clearer on my computer.
I will find a way to order it somehow.
Sunday is "always" humming that song.........

Irwin widow: Death will not air

"Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin's widow says she has not seen the film of her husband's deadly encounter with a stingray and that it will not ever be shown on television.

"What purpose would that serve?" Terri Irwin said in an interview with ABC's Barbara Walters scheduled to air on television Wednesday in the United States and Australia.

Good this won't be aired!

Terri will be on 20/20 tonight at 10PM Eastern time with Barbara Walters in her interview about Steve Irwin.
The excerpts were very sad.
Teri said "I've lost my prince"..........and was very emotional.
This will be a special edition of 20/20 there will be also some never before seen home movies .

Just watched the Ray Martin interview with Terri Irwin. Very sad .Made me cry. What a brave woman Terri is.In it she revealed that Steve always thought he would die young. It was a very moving interview.I wonder what the Barbra Waters one will be like.

They are going to show an excerpt on GMA in just a few. BW's interview will also have Bindi on. Those kids are sooooooooo cute. They say they haven't told Bob about daddy. He just thinks he's away working. He keeps asking when is his daddy coming home.

I will cry through the whole interview when the kids are on.:( I also heard that steve said he never thought he would live to be old.

I watched part of the BW interview before leaving for work this AM. Terri said that she has told both the children. Bindi understands and Bob is having a hard time understanding.

It was hard to watch Terri. Made me cry.

I think little Bob knows now....:(

*Snip *
She said her son Bob recently took a screwdriver out of the drawer and said he was going to fix the family's motorbike.

"Off he goes, very carefully carrying it like it was a lit candle," she said. "Goes up to the motorbike and starts poking at it. I said, 'What are you doing to the motorbike?' He said, 'I'm fixing the motorbike so daddy can drive it from heaven.' "

Story here: http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/09/26/irwin.terri.ap/index.html

I feel so sad for this family. I know I won't be able to watch the BW without a whole box of tissues. Just the look on Teri's face at the memorial ceremony was enough to undo me. She has told BW that she lost her prince.....
It is just so unfair. So many search for that kind of love and never find it or stay stuck in a dead marriage...while she had it all....and it's gone like that. I am afraid Teri is now doomed to life of loneliness, meaning without a mate. I don't think she'll ever find another that can compare to him....even when it is way past time to do so. Those are pretty hard shoes to fill. The money or the fame didn't ruin or change them at all...in fact I think it made their union stronger. The now had the means to make their passions be heard. They were definitely kindred spirits. I am wishing them strength to get through this. :( :(

This is so sad, especially because it was love at first sight for them. The day she first met him someone snapped a picture of them and I remember her saying once that she was lucky to have that picture because most people don't have one of the first time they met the love of their life. :(
