I'm sorry Narlacat, but when I write a post admitting I was wrong and that I should have counted to 10 before I wrote it, that is what should mean something.

I am not a mean person. I had no idea this thread was going to become a memorial thread to Steve. I wrote my posts only hours after we found out he was gone. And had I used my better judgement I never would have written what I did. You obviously never accepted my apology. I stated I had learned a lot of things about Steve in my reading since he died.

So now I'm starting to get PM's that I have business to take care of regarding what I said. What more could or should I do? I wrote to our Mod and asked her to please remove any posts I had written that were offensive to anyone, and also to the posts {2 in particular} where I had been quoted and the comments were in caps, and that would have to be done with that posters permission.

I am not a bad poster. I mean well. I try hard to blend in and work within the scope of the forum. I have never had a time-out or been asked to leave. I respect my fellow posters feelings. I have tried to ammend comments I made that were offensive to some posters. The Mod told me that had been done.

I have refrained from other comments I could have made that are factual but were out of place to say on this, a memorial thread. I never said anything against Bob. I was wrong about some facts and admitted that, but there was something that gave me a start, and I never even explained what it was as there was no need at that point.

So what I am really saying is I should no longer be on the spot. Please take me off of it!~

I didn't catch any of what happened, but you are a nice poster, and since you have apologized for whatever you said, anyone who messes with you, can mess with me as well, and trust me, THAT will NOT be fun! (Or, you can just ignore the little buggers, lol.) In other words, back off of Scandi! We all post stuff and regret it later, such is life. :slap: to the harassers.

Hi scandi, from the article:

More than 5,000 people will attend the service from 9am (AEST) at Australia Zoo's Crocoseum

Hopefully they will televise it live here--we'll have to google to find out what time Wed. 9AM AEST is here.

That will be 4:00PM Tues (PST) in Portland Scandi. Tues 7:00PM (EST)

My Aussie friends......
I just wanted you to know I have never heard anything bad about your country ......not ever.
My cousins one son was working there for a couple of years. I have to write and ask her if he is still there ( and exactly where). They went to see him not that long ago in Australia. His Mom was so proud he was over there that she told me everytime I bumped into her.
I have only heard nice things. Oh to have all the ocean around me I'd be in my glory.
You have only ONE problem......you are so, so FAR. ( darn )
Your 9 hours from Hawaii. That 11 hours "to" Hawaii was sooooo long.
You live in a wonderful place and your very lucky.
Now ......if I could just get that time straight!
( don't worry I am ok for Tues. 6/7PM) Thinking of you all.....Sunday

I haven't been reading the thread for quite awhile so don't know what's been said but to all Aussies, I love your country and proudly have five Aussies living with me in my home; two budgies, two cockatiels and a red rump parrot!
They are so sweet and very smart. It may sound silly but I've told them of their land of origin. :blowkiss:

To Scandi, I love your posts and think you are so sweet and are always very concerned for others. :blowkiss:

I look forward to his memorial service. so thanks Buzz, I'll be watching at 4 on Tuesday afternoon. I have this little feeling inside of me that his beautiful little girlie will get up in front of the crowd and talk about how she loved her daddy and some day will work in running the zoo. She is at that adorable age, and was definitely devoted to her Daddy. Now I think she will want to share with everyone and don't think she will be the least overcome by the moment.

Hi Montana.....Thankyou for the lovely post..we Aussies have an unique sense of humour and spend a lot of time laughing at ourselves:D ...its a good thing.
Do you have any pics of your birds...if so could you post them in the pet corner.
I want to see what a red rumped parrot looks like:D

I thought you put me on ignore? Liar liar! I knew you couldn't ignore me, bahahaha. Deep down you must love me.

Hi.......It took me a bit to find you all here. I always forget what Steve's Thread is under.
I know this is not a fun time for any of you......and I am sure things will be more apt to hurt at this time. With the stress of losing Steve who was such an inspiration to your wonderful Australia.
Your all such a great blend of people.........I hope all the little quips are just jokes. I don't want to see anyone banned for a misunderstanding. Gosh, I would just miss you all.......even your disagrements.

........I know your all great admirers of each other or you wouldn't even visit the same threads.......

RIGHT?
To be serious now......I think ABC should have the Memorial live. I am hoping. If not I guess I am hearing that at 9PM the Discovery channel maybe. I have to read better above. From what I just checked.....it looks like our ABC is covering it. Sometimes it means we get tapings though. I was hoping to watch it the same time as you all.......
Our thoughts are with you tomorrow. I wish I could sit with you.......
I will be ready from 6PM on looking for who has it covered. Sunday...

Scandi......Your apology is very complete and through. I know you have also said previously that you were sorry. I am sure everyone can shake hands now.
You did everything possible to make amends. It speaks highly of your character.
I am sure the Aussie girls are thinking it was very nice of you to come and talk about their Steve...right at this time....when it is the Eve of his Memorial.
It is times like this....when it feels so good to have people who do care along side us. ......Good friends are always there......holding ones hand.
I really feel for these girls tomorrow......it will not be an easy day.
