I watched the interview last night, it was just, well, I can't describe it. What a wonderful family, what a wonderful woman, children...I am not a Steve Irwin fan, don't dislike him, just never was interested....didn't see his shows or movies(I have as sister that is a manager at a zoo hospital and she doesn't agree with how he did things, and that is all I really new about him until last night)

What I learned last night was this man was an INCREDIBLE person, INCREDIBLE husband, INCREDIBLE father, very humble, extremely sincere, he certianly touched many lives...what a really neat guy. Sad that he had to have this accident and I am glad the point was made that this was an accident, he wasn't doing anything ridiculous, just an accident. I will pray for Mrs Irwin and her children...they are really wonderful people.

Just wanted to say that.

I watched it last nite with my daughter and we were both crying. It looked like it was difficult for Barbara too. A very good interview imo.

Make sure the taping systems are compatable. Sometimes they're not.

Yes, this was extremely sad ......Barbara did a wonderful interview.
I didn't stop crying during the entire show. I hope that the Aussie girls get to see this over there soon. Or I have a tape I can send over.
But.........I am just sure it will be shown there shortly.
Terri is very strong, but.......so missing her Steve.
So very hard to watch ......it is as sad as the Memorial.

Irwin widow: Death will not air

"Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin's widow says she has not seen the film of her husband's deadly encounter with a stingray and that it will not ever be shown on television.

"What purpose would that serve?" Terri Irwin said in an interview with ABC's Barbara Walters scheduled to air on television Wednesday in the United States and Australia.

Good this won't be aired!

there are 3 "never-before-seen photos" in the NE, of Steve in the water, hovering over the 220 lb bull stingray....one shows Steve approaching the stingray/hovering over it, one shows him starting to swim past/over the stingray, & the other shows Steve grabbing the barb in his chest...(not pulling it out, just shows his hand on it)

ETA...the pics do NOT show the stingray 'stabbing' Steve....

... I agree, sad indeed. I felt so awful for Terri and the kids. Those children are so beautiful. It looks like Bindi will be following in Daddy's footsteps. They're so right, there will never be another Steve Irwin.

Irwin had 'huge plans for Bindi'

What a great kid.

"When she's on television in her own show, I think she will explode," he said.

"I just think there's a little volcano waiting inside her.

"She's a very special little kid, her whole being is to do what Steve did."

just from what little i've seen/heard of Bindi, i think the above is correct...

Close.. are these photos for real? Did you read the fine print in between the photos? - it says "This shocking photo sequence shows an artist's re-creation based on eyewitness accounts of Crocodile Huntr Steve Irwin's final moments of life." Then it goes on to say it's Irwin in the photos? I don't understand.

ETA I've just read it again, these definitely look like the real photos - do you think an artist put them in sequence? Strange.

I hope youre wrong about these photos..there is no purpose in showing these pics..Steves family has been through enough already.

Thanks! That site is really cool, I just spent about 30 minutes there.

that's the way i understand it, jilly....they're real pictures & the NE put them in sequence using 'sources' that saw the original footage....

Aww Christine that is so sweet of you. :blowkiss:

I think that a lot of people only saw snippets of Steve here and there and did not fully appreciate him and his remarkable love for life. If only we all had his passion, in our everyday lives!

Crikey, he was a unique Australian, so loving and compassionate to all living creatures, even the human kind. lol I have seen a lot of footage of him since his death and the passion and devotion he had for life was truly awe inspiring. Every quote I have read from people that met Steve, all say the same thing, "That he was the real deal"

I truly had no idea how much he had done for conservation and wildlife until his death. The world and his family sure lost an incredible but sometimes misunderstood man, the day he died.

Prayers to Terri, Bindi, Bob and Steves family. RIP mate. We'll miss ya! :(

Thank you Sundayrain, that's great. I will look out for any interviews on TV, if not I will PM you. Even my husband wants to watch it now, he saw a few minutes of an interview with Terri on the news here, and he said although it was sad, what a wonderful woman Terri seemed to be!.

I have it right here........but no........it says "an artists re-creation" based on eyewitness accounts and documents. They said they are 'recreating'the sequence of events.......I know they look pretty real.......but, would they really do that?
Artist re-creation should mean just that. I sure hope so......

So I get this right, someone is recreating Steve's death in creating pictures or paintings?
Why in the world would anyone do that?
Let the man rest in peace and his family.....
