Steven Avery: Guilty of Teresa Halbach's Murder?

I can see why he wouldn't use it on business/gov't calls, but when personally calling someone, for example for a car for sale or something like that. We only have 1 day of calls from his cell phone to see. The defense didn't show anything more to show that he had used it before, and neither did the State show that he didn't, which is unfortunate for us lol We can guess all we want, but we don't know.

He didn't "always" ask for Teresa, and on at least one occasion, he didn't even call AutoTrader, he called her directly on her cell phone.

IMO I think he wasn't sure if it was her number or not on the note pad, so he used the *67.

Here is a scenario that just happened the other day... my daughter and my father in law were home while I was at work. Someone phones and they don't know the number and it comes up as "unknown name", so what does my daughter do... she calls it back with a spoof number from her iphone (the new *67?lol) She didn't want the number on the other person's call display, not knowing who it was, lots of people don't, regardless if they are in the spotlight or not. I know I sure don't.

Since you think he was luring her there... what explanation do you give to him phoning AutoTrader without *67, twice that morning? Why do you think he gave the correct name and address of the person that owned the van? Who happened to live next door to Steven on Avery Rd. (where only Avery's live)? I am not sure if you are aware, but Barb's husband had Teresa do an ad in September 2005, so it's not like they didn't have the address and know where it was, although the phone numbers didn't match because I think Tom used his cell. Did you know that there was a connection between the Janda account and Steven's? The receptionist that took the call knew that the Janda's were basically the Avery's, all indications were that Teresa knew that as well, so how sneaky was this? I just don't understand how people can still think this, but JMO.

Regarding the *67, I'd like to see Avery's phone records for a few months prior to 10/31. On 10/31, he specifically called and asked for the same girl and used B. Janda as the customer without *67 as he was posing as someone else. Dawn P apparently created a new account in the system for B.Janda. I'm sure TH was aware there were other families on Avery Road, but perhaps SA thought she would not come if he called as himself due to the towel incident on or around 10/10 to which Dawn testified. And seriously, who comes out in a towel to pay someone for a photoshoot ? And why would he ask for the same girl ? If it's not his van he's selling, any photographer would have been fine.

Dialing *67 to a phone number you had supposedly called before to set up a hustle shot. Why ? IMO, only one reason for that - hide your identity, possibly just to get her out there for an attack.

Coincidentally, Jodi went to jail on her DUI charge on 6/17/05 and Teresa's first AutoTrader shot at the Averys was 6/20/05. IMO, SA was becoming increasingly angry at Jodi's incarceration and lack of sex and decided to exact revenge on Teresa as an easy target.

She said something about it to someone else but it could easily be a smaller story then we make it out to be.

Especially considering how “backwards” the Averys seem to be... it doesn’t come across as anything but poor manners to me. We used to have a family friend who always opened the door in his tighty whities and he’d invite you in and just sit there in his underwear and he never thought anything about it!

If i only had to receive a package at the door fast, and i was naked i would do it also quickly in a towel. If the payment only was to give a check, then it isn't that weird at all i think. But maybe im a weirdo.

Sorry I had Jodi's conviction date, not the date she actually went to jail but my opinion still stands as to Steven's anger toward women and his possible frustration with the lack of sex at the time.

Let's be honest men especially a guy who was in prison for 18 years are prone not to wear pants when home alone. I have answered the door in a robe with nothing but a shirt on underneath. SA does not seem like a robe type of guy,

Ok, so you think that AutoTrader's records are wrong? I guess they could be. And this time you think SA was telling the truth? IIRC Teresa only worked at AT for about a year, and only took over that area about 5-6 months before Oct/05. There were other photographers that been out there before, at least 1 that I recall, but Teresa was only there 5 times according to their records. This only tells me that SA didn't even distinguish between the 2 IMO

No, I think Avery was lying just as he lied about time TH showed up. He may have said 15 with the intent of convincing the investigators that it was common for TH to come to the salvage yard and this was just another routine visit. No big deal ...
