So, I've spent some time watching and listening to vids and recordings of the noises heard around the world.
Here is what I've noted:
No Pattern Whatsoever. LOL.
I've looked at backgrounds, time of day, location, technological structure of the area (e.g military base, airport, train station, et cetera). I've listened for other sounds, like birds, barking, car/bus/train/plane. I've watched for other people noticing, hearing, "spontaneous" reactions. I've been looking at correlation to earth quakes, weather, and types of folks hearing this.
I've seen reports from Azerbaijan to Denmark, from the East China coast to France, from New Zealand to Alaska and Canada.
The only thing I can say for certain is that there are three different types (with no correlating/corresponding data that I can find, meaning one is in daylight, or one when it's an open field, et cetera). They are described as:
1. Hums/"engine" noises: noises that continue for a length of time, often building in intensity and then reducing in intensity, but not stopping for a period of time (period of time varies). Some folks describe it as an engine that's idling, rev'ing, then idling again, sometimes for hours. Most people think this comes from the sky/above. Some people claim that there are vibrations which "move through" the air with these. I can't confirm that, although I've looked at trees and wind chimes and various other dangling things that would likely move if one could actually feel them.
2. Intermittent noises: thumps or bangs (which would indicate a collision between two (or more) objects) that have a pattern, repeating the pattern several times over a short(ish) length of time. Many people seem to think this sound comes from below/under. The sounds are definitely repetitive, semi-regular, and have been described as a giant drill bit slamming into the earth, or, in more fanciful terms, a giant itself walking, stopping, and then walking again. Some people claim that there are vibrations that can be felt with this. I have not noted any indication that there would be vibrations felt, as cameras didn't seem to jiggle, windows seemed to stay still, and people weren't insisting there was an eq.
3. Trumpets. Not the crystal sounds of Kenny G wafting through the atmosphere, though. It's more like a breathy, lengthy single note sound that then drops in pitch: laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa daaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Some compare it to a conch shell call, but it's most often compared to a Shofar blast; it is repeated several times (or more, but always at least three times, from what I can gather). All people who hear this state it comes from the sky. There are different types of Shofar calls; for example, one announces day break, one to gather together, one for mealtimes, et cetera,. For those that don't know about Shofar blasts, it makes some interesting reading. It is a traditional biblical communication horn, and takes some skill and breath control to be heard over miles (and some can be).
As for me, again, I've found nothing other than that which I catagorized above (the three types). There is no regularity in weather (I considered overcast/cloud cover as an easy way to account for sounds traveling and/or being magnified, for example, but it didn't pan out. Nothing that matches; different people, in many different parts of the world, hearing one or all of the sounds.
The one thing that I haven't correlated (because I don't have the skills to do it) is space weather. It would be interesting to see if these sounds even somewhat correlate to solar flares, or highly ionized environments - like the auroras; one professor from somewhere in Canada has dismissed all this as "electromagnetic resonance and/or radiation belt waves that are hearable." And while that may be, and I can't say definitely otherwise, my question to him would be "well then, why are we now hearing it, when we didn't before?" To my knowledge, that question was not asked in the interview (or if it was, the answer was not aired. LOL).
I will say this: while there may be some frauds (and there are, indeed, some fraudulent vids/recordings), there are too many, in too wide a space (global) for this to be any sort of intentional hoax. And I also wonder why it would be, that so many people, of so many different cultures, races, religions, economic status, geographical locations, and so on, be involved in the hoax?
Maybe the hoax is being perpetrated on them, and they are just reporting what they see/hear/feel. Some say that this is a publicity stunt for a movie (but the movie has either not come out, or the punch line to the publicity stunt has not occurred).
But it occurs to me that this is too far widespread for this to be a hoax; governments would have to comply; citizens would be fooled/scared, and may take panic actions because of it, and then they'd be blamed. Again, I am positive that I have listened to some fake things; but I also think I've heard some real ones. I've seen people pour out of buildings (in Canada) and all stand there talking about the sounds, and fall silent when the sound returns. I've seen people at gas stations, or people on the side of the road, or people in farming communities talk about what they've heard together with strangers.
So yes, while I am sure some of the vid is fake, I am also positive that most of it is not...and that this is a real occurance, and as yet not understood by anyone. The reasons given (the eq in Wisconsin, for example, or the electromagnetic field being heard) do not bear out over time and space - the eq for Wisconsin, for example, does not explain the sounds in Dallas, let alone the sounds in New Zealand, over a space of several hours (Wisconsin/Dallas) or several weeks (Wisconsin/New Zealand).
The ONLY thing which may be possible is that the entire earth's mantle is shifting, and moving. That has not happened in many centuries/millennia, so no one would actually know what it sounded like. But that's so far reaching and odd, and I'd expect to see far more evidence in terms of earthquakes, that I can't even reasonably believe that possibility.
All I know is that the more I look into this, the more creeped out and eerie this stuff makes me feel. LOL.
I wish I knew...or had a reasonable idea or framework that I could put this into. I don't. And that's spooky.
Just thought I'd share my ideas/thoughts/whatevers this morning. Well, it was morning when I started writing this post. LOLOL.
