Indeed. I've been thinking all day of the tongue-lashing tybee would have given me by now.

I miss that. I miss her.

Me too, Nova...me too.

Sorry. Not buying it.

If what you say is true, no great harm would ever come to a child.

The words that I would use to answer this are a double edge sword. I might hurt someone if I respond to this.

Interesting quote from that article:

Some researchers believe it to have its origin in male social organization and social dominance, similar to the dominance traits shown in prison sexuality. However others cast doubt on this male social organization theory citing gay penguins that mate for life and refuse to pair with females when given the chance. However these permanent mating scenarios are still only anecdotal.

The first sentence implies that homosexuality is a learned behavior or one of convenience. That doesn't bolster the argument that gays are born that way. Oops. :p

So you don't believe in evil, a dark side, an enemy?

Kool, obviously humans do evil things--IMHO, almost always out of ignorance.

But much of what we call "evil" is either (i) merely painful to us personally, or (ii) frightening because we don't understand it. This sort of evil is often, if not always, beneficial to others and even to us in the long run.

No, I don't believe in "evil" as an independent force or consciousness.

All right, y'all...dh and I are sneaking off to see Pirates of the Carribean sans children and then I'm out of town and probably off the grid all next week.

But kisses and hugs to all my friends here. Please have a safe holiday weekend! (I'd tell you all to stay out of trouble, but I know better!)

You're reading selectively, N. The rest of the article details any number of cases where animals prefer their own sex DESPITE having plenty of access to the opposite sex. This has nothing to do with what happens in prison.

The quote you cited is not the thrust of the article (or the evidence), but an attempt to be fair to other claims.

The "permanent mating" scenarios are so far "anecdotal" because (i) most species don't "mate permanently" under any circumstance, and (ii) because it requires considerable time and money to track animals throughout their entire life span.

(ETA here is the National Geographic (hardly a "gay" publication) on the state of available evidence:

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/07/0722_040722_gayanimal.html

If anything, evidence of homosexuality in the animal kingdom is grossly UNDERreported because until very recently, the subject was considered unmentionable.)

I'm gonna have to leave shortly too, but I'll be back for round 2 in about 2 or 3 hours, when will you be back? Don't leave me for long. Give hubby a hug.

I know Tybee would have already told me to Kool my heals, guess I was thinking of her, feeling her spirit still in this forum.

I pray she receives a big hug from us via God the Father who can make it happen. I'm a little sick and being healed, so I must go lay down for a while, but I'll be back everyone.

Bye, Nova, South Irish Ntegrity, talk with you in a bit. Remember, I love you with all my heart.

You've seen evil Nova. Examples John Cooey murder of Jessical Lunsford, The Davis guy that killed Polly Klaas, some terrorists, though I don't beleive all of them, some are just acting out what they have been taught their entire lives. I have watched and heard testimony from terrorists who have repented.

Be back in a few,

Look, I'm a lover of nature and spend a good time observing and educating myself on it. Animals have body and soul, no spirit.

Tell that bull to repent. I'm not going along with this one, even though I know they try to, but it's not chronic.

I found this definition of "chronic" as a scientific term:

"A chronic condition is one lasting 3 months or more"

Your statement is false. I've given two links detailing homosexual bonds far longer than that.

"A chronic condition is one lasting 3 months or more"

How long is that in dog years? j/k :D

We've really gotten off track on this thread. It started as a discussion of teachers showing suggestive films to their students and evolved into a debate on sexuality. I think I'll bow out now ... but it's been fun. Really!! :)

I want to answer all these questions being posed to me, but I stand a chance of getting off topic on this thread, and possibly causing someone to think, then say I've broken tos, which I don't feel I have, but I do have to obey the moderators cheerfully. Not that any have said anything to me on this thread to this point.

But to answer your question, I didn't say it, the Bible does. You'll have to take that one up with God. For sin is sin, God doesn't rate it or characterize it like man does. God is Holy and sin can't enter into his Holy presence.

Man judges sin, God instructs us on what sin is and wants us to repent and live a Holy life with him. Lying, theivery, idoltry is just as sinful to God as adultery.

I haven't stolen your faith in mankind Narla, maybe you were that way before you ever read my post, because it sure seems like a big leap to read one persons post and lose faith in mankind, in my opinion.

If you have lost faith in mankind, please re-kindle it, for there is hope and there are good and righteousness all around us.

I didn't say you had, in fact I didn't even mention the word stolen- what I said was some people don't give me faith in mankind- that some piggies think they are more equal than others.

I'll say it again- people who think there is something wrong with gays are the ones that have something wrong with them! -they are ignorant and obviously need to get out more and get themselves a life save them sticking their noses into other peoples lives- grow up- let people be who they are fgs

Nope, nope, nope, nope and uh uh.

I believe God is All That Is. So that includes things we don't like.

I do too- for good to exist so must bad-

If we keep on these subjects, which I don't mind, I'm going to be the first taken to the woodshed,

What is natural about a man laying with a man or a woman laying with a woman? Without being too graphic, in my eyes to start with, uhmm it just doesn't fit or go together for starters.

I don't want everyone to think I'm beating up on homosexuality, I'm not. I'm only sin free because I've repented. Sadly, I will more than likely sin again in my lifetime more than I want to think about. But I do practise trying to live righteously and Holy. I'm just a forgiven sinner.

Hypocrite alert! you have got to be joking- re read your posts to see just what you have said about them- geez if you are this dishonest on a discussion board I dread to think how you conduct your life- be honest! you don't like gays- post after post of yours already tells us that anyway

...It started as a discussion of teachers showing suggestive films to their students and evolved into a debate on sexuality....

Doesn't it always?

Of course, I'm partly to blame. I just can't let some assertions go unchallenged, because those claims are dangerous even when, as here, the persons making them mean no harm.

...let people be who they are fgs

Narla, you would LOL if you knew what I thought "fgs" meant the first time I read your post. Because it was you, though, I knew I was wrong and read it again. Slowly. :D

I was reading quickly and for a second thought you had left out the vowel. So it went like this:

let people be who they are: f_gs

"ffs" I can figure out.
