His character has been investigated by seasoned investigators throughout his entire adult life, you would think an alcohol problem would have come up before.
He may have tempered his own drinking. I doubt the FBI has previously asked him if he had blackout drinking in college and high school.

She couldn’t drive at the time, someone drove her to the home, someone drove her home if that’s were she ended up that night. Could have spent night at friends home.
I find it odd that she doesn’t remember how she got there or how she got home. Will be interesting to see if her driver surfaces.

Did ppl that went to club to swim always wear bathsuit under clothes? I went to beach, and a swim club at that age and we didn’t do that.
There was a map posted of the area somewhere here. Lots of reasons for not remembering according to articles previously linked.

I wore my swimsuit everywhere when I was a teen. You never knew when swimming opportunities would crop up as you went different places. I didn't carry a bag and towel. We were always hoping we could swim at someone's house when we were out.

What Verified behavior?
None.
He was furious because his good name, his family and his reputation has been attacked and he was forced to defend his name and work in front of the whole world by politicians who have already Saud, that they will do Anything to stop his nomination.
Are you kidding? If my family, myself, and my career of good works, after 6 FBI investigations, was thrown into chaos because of someone I barely knew in High School.
I would HAVE been off the charts Pissed.

Respectfully, more so than any alleged sexual assault, I found his rage when asked about his drinking habits far more concerning. People who don't have drinking problems don't become enraged when asked about their drinking habits. People who can drink responsibly don't evade questions about their drinking habits. No healthy drinker would refer back to a calendar that is 36 years old and reply, 'well maybe July 1st', when asked if he ever drank on weekdays.

Getting sloppy drunk is alcoholic like drinking, even if one hasn't progressed in their drinking to full blown alcoholism.

I was just thinking same thing. I always had my bathing suit under my clothes back then.

Maybe the men I have known that are anywhere near drunk, blackout drunk, vomiting drunk are different.
Because at that point they were not able to perform sexually.

Tolerance increases with addiction. Heavy drinkers can drink what would make a normal drinker vomit, pass out....

Yes, legal age for drinking in Maryland was 21 when he was 18.

Just a FYI. On July 1, 1982 ("Timmy's for skis" on K's calendar, with Judge, PJ, and "Squi"-Dr. Ford's boyfriend- attending) was the day MD drinking age went up from 18 to 19, not 21. The 3 year older drinking age was raise incrementally over 3 years.

Kavanaugh , in other words, NEVER was legally of age to drink in high school. His saying that seniors were of age to buy and drink beer was a half truth...some were, perhaps, but it was deliberate obfuscation to equate senior & drinking age & himself.

Wasn’t some of this when he was 15 years old? Did I get that wrong? If not, way before legal drinking age. If so kind of disturbing how much drinking. IMO

Dr. Ford was 15 in summer 1982. K was 17.

According to Mark Judge, the 100 keg club was about drinking 100 kegs of beer in their senior year. K was 17-18 years old in senior year, and legally underage throughout.

Again according to Judge, members of that club (20 or so at most is a rough guess) drank 64 kegs of beer between the end of August 1982 & the end if November 1982. According to K, they almost always drank just on weekends.

I'm not a beer drinker & have never even seen a keg of beer, but my DH did the math, translating keg into ounces of beer consumed, and if Judge's claim is true, they ALL must have drunk excessively, and I wonder where the heck were PARENTS during these months?!

Should be step number one when reporting a sexual assault. Report to the police!

A lot still needs to change in our society for this to become the intuitive first step.

I was told by parents (1976) that anytime I wanted a drink I could, at home.
I have a feeling her yearbook will come out next round. It’s a treat.

Yes. I did, as did most everyone I knew. Pool parties, swim club, public pool, lake, river, etc. Extremely common.

Not here. Never knew anyone that did that.

Montgomery County says they will not open investigation on Kavanaugh allegations without accuser

Montgomery County says they will not open investigation on Kavanaugh allegations without accuser

.....

Wonder why she didn’t do this.

Her want and need as she has stated over and over was only to let the committee know that they were putting a rapist on the nations SC. She never stated she wanted or needed to prosecute.

The second accuser on the other hand might be much different. Just my guess is he might not get nominated because of the perjury he has regularly committed when in front of the senate.

On more than one hearing.

He has had a long and rich history of no one wanting him. This has not been anything new.:

The last time Kavanaugh's nomination was stalled in the Senate for nearly three years.

He continued to deteriorate as time passed .

He was rated Kavanaugh as "well qualified" at one point years ago .

He was then bumped down to rated as only "qualified".[31]

He then committed perjury to get his current job but got away with it.

Before the world discovered that he is a sexual predator (this hearing ) he perjured himself regarding his being fully aware that Hatch emails had been hacked . He lied around 5 times this time around on that alone.

There is proof that Judge Brett Kavanaugh had been in receipt of stolen emails while he worked for the Bush administration, which was used to derail a democratic judicial nominee, but first he denied awareness of these memos

The reps blew that off.

When asked about racial profiling this round he perjured himself again. Reps did nothing. Then several of his emails with the subject being "racial profiling" were released . The reps did nothing.

Right after the racial email became public Gassey (after it was in public domain already) released them.

He then committed perjury again when asked about affirmative action issues. He lied under oath again.

Then documents were released that proved he was lying under oath. Reps did nothing.

He was then asked about native Hawaiians, Under oath he lied again and documentation to prove such was released.

Gassey was caught again. He did the same thing claiming that he had just released them. Gassey BS was trying to say reps are cooperating with document demands.

Gassey was then caught in a lie himself when he claimed he had just gotten a request to release those documents.

The documents requested those documents be released were released and they were from months ago. So now he was caught in a flat lie. Reps did nothing.

He then perjured himself shortly afterwards, again He lied to the committee over and over when asked if he was aware of Hatchs emails being hacked. He repeatidly denied knowing anything about it.

THen documents were presented written by Kav incidacting that he was fully aware that Hatches email account was hacked, and was actually aware of how the hacked information was be used and by whom.

The reps did nothing.

In his unprofessional tirade a couple of days ago he committed perjury again . And again. He reports that he has never drank to excess nor experienced black out. That is a lie while under oath before the senate.

With authorization to investigate happening now people that knew him and hung out with him under the penalty of perjury and prison time, have come out (more last night) saying they will gladly talk to the FBI under oath and in detail describe his rich history of being stage 4 alcoholic at 17.

This is perjury again.

There was one more that i cant recall at this time.

He will probably not be able to talk to the FBI actually - cause like some others we are aware they cant tell the truth. So he probably will rack up more perjury charges if he lies to the FBI as well as the senate.

WHite house with the calendar is brilliant. Because now they know first and last names of those that were actually at the house the night he tried to rape her but was unable to because he was so blasted he could figure out how to get a woman's clothes off in order to rape her.

Judges moronic decision to decide to jump onto the bed while his best friend was in the middle of a rape attempt clearly indicates quite a degree of impairment IMO.

This might actually (Speculating) be more related to one of their nick names throughout the yearbook which refers to anal sex with three persons involved and how terrific that was . SO actually Judge might have wanted to join in in that regard.

Folks who dont drink tend not to hang out with those who do. Those who do drink tend not to enjoy hanging out with sloppy and stupid wild drunks. It kinda kills the buzz to deal with people puking all the time, passing out in the doorway, breaking things as they fall down, roam parties where the super drunks are yanking at guests blouses, appraoching guests and rubbing there genitalia on folks that have no interest in that particular guest at all, much less being touched by them - just kinda the way it works.

People that drink tend to like drinking with people that (throughout the party) remain capable of forming words, speaking in an understandable manner as opposed to slurring words. In addition , these folks tend to enjoy it when there party buddies can remember what is being talked about - this always makes the party better. !

Folks that like to drink with people that can do it tend not to want their party visited by people with badges as a result of people so drunk that they do things that result in LE being called - 911 because someone is choking to death of vomit -- that kind of thing, It really can ruin a party! that do stupid things .

In judges book he gleefully describes one their group members crashing through ceiling. This story created much curiosity on my part. I know I have never had a desire want of need to go climbing through attics while drinking. I pondered, what exact thought process would result in my deciding to do such?

Feeling in the mood to snuggle up with some asbestos? Might he have been a Cirque wanna be? Might it be a future circus performer? An AC repairman? A roofer? Despite my ponderings , the only conclusion I could realistically come up was this was some really drunk stupid person that had no idea he was climbing around someone's attic!

Would anyone like to throw a party and end up needing roof repair the following morning? I sure would not be inviting that gang over again - or maybe ask if they have a homeowners insurance policy with my address on it !

Oh geez, I just saw a commercial with a bunch of women saying "I stand with Brett". They looked like a bunch of Stepford wives.

Really? Paying (big bucks) for commercial time to elect a Supreme Court justice? Or is it to play to the one side of women on the political arena? If so, it only shows how scared and desperate they are about how he responded during this hearing. For myself, his words and demeanor cannot be forgotten.

IMO, this whole thing has come to a new low...very low.

Why would anyone try to demean these women? I highly doubt they are Stepford wives but I guess it's okay to bash women who are not lockstepped with someone's own views. I find that sad and such a terrible unfair double standard.

BTW from the very beginning there have been an enormous amount of highly intelligent and highly successful women with very impressive careers who have come out in support of the man they have actually known for years..even decades.

Many of these strong women are liberal democrats yet they will not lie about the man they have known well for many years.

Even during the hearing many women were outside the Senate building showing their full support for him. Many of them spoke out for the man they know well with many of them knowing him since high school or during law school or those who have clerked for him.

You should easily be able to find the video online. If you watch it then you will certainly see these educated women are certainly not Stepford wives at all but are from both party lines. Those who have actually known him for a very long time working side by side with him or during high school or college.

Why would anyone disparage these women when they are the ones who have known him for years or decades? They certainly know him well so i do not understand trying to disparge them.

Every day I have seen multiple women giving interviews supporting BK so I don't know why it is shocking they are continuing to do so by doing a joint ad standing up for him.

I have seen the one you mentioned but I have see multiple ads from others who are doing the same... along with being interviewed which I have continued to see on a daily basis.

Perhaps MSM is refusing to interview all of these women who has known him well for decades. I would certainly think they would all want to interview them since all of them actually knows him very well..

Several have said they are open to being interviewed by any news outlet that may want to speak to any of them.

Reporters report. That's what they do. I'm not understanding your question. Help me out.

Not if he hid his drinking well and his family enabled him. A huge part of an alcoholic maintaining their success has to do with those enabling the addict.

In at least the first few FBI investigations, they would have talked to old classmates, neighbors, etc. There has never been a hint of any sexual misconduct.

Committees have closed door meetings. There is no reason Feinstein couldn't have brought up these allegations two months ago, while still maintaining confidentially. All she had to say was "I've received information from Jane Doe alleging a sexual assault when BK was a young man. " The FBI could have investigated just based on that, and could have gotten more truthful answers before it became so politicized that people would say anything to further an agenda. Feinstein sat on these allegations for political reasons only.

You had brought up confirmation bias earlier. I find it horrifying that people are so willing to destroy someone's career, family, and life based on an allegation with no contemporaneous supporting evidence. Anyone can say anything about anyone. McCarthyism. People destroyed based on... nothing.

And memories, traumatic or not, are not necessarily accurate.

Memory Distortion for Traumatic Events: The Role of Mental Imagery

Trauma, PTSD, and Memory Distortion

8.3 Accuracy and Inaccuracy in Memory and Cognition | Introduction to Psychology

You Have No Idea What Happened

None of us will EVER know what really happened, or if, indeed, anything at all happened.

A lot of us oppose capital punishment because of the possibility of sentencing an innocent person to death. Yet so many of us are gleefully willing to destroy someone's career, marriage, personal relationships, reputation, someone's life based on an uncollaberated accusation.

What if he didn't do it?

What if it were you? Monday morning, you get to work and are confronted by your boss and HR. Someone you worked with years ago and barely remember has accused you (falsely) of sexual harrassment. They believe the allegations, or at least they are presuming them to be true. After all, you got drunk at the office Christmas party a few times. You are told to go home while they look into the matter. As you leave, your coworkers stare at you and whisper. You get a text from a friend cancelling your dinner plans. Your spouse asks you why you're home in the middle of the day. You can't disprove the allegations, it's impossible to prove a negative. You wouldn't be angry?

As I've said before, there are plenty of reasons to oppose Kavanaugh, but this mess shouldn't be one of them.

Not if he hid his drinking well and his family enabled him. A huge part of an alcoholic maintaining their success has to do with those enabling the addict.

This is a different situation. Most alcoholics do not have multiple extensive background checks by experienced investigators.

If this man has an alcohol problem. The checks and balances system is not working.

Really? This woman bared her soul in front of the entire world just yesterday. And yet you don't believe she'll cooperate with the FBI investigation? Fascinating POV.

I think she will cooperate as much as her attorneys allow her to cooperate. They are now calling the shots. IMO
