Dr Blasey flew to DC, she did not drive.

To say Dr. Blasey knew her letter would leak or chose to end up telling the world, in front of a Senate Committee, about being sexually assaulted is to call her a liar.

As I posted recently, I just called a rape crisis hotline a few days ago to tell the entire story about my rape for the first time. To a stranger I'll never meet. By phone. And yet, my heart was pounding so hard I could feel it & my hands were shaking when I "dialed."

Can anyone really believe Dr. Blasey told truth about being attacked by K (or strain to believe she was attacked , but confused about who did it) and yet also believe she lied about never wanting to be there, and her terror??
Hope--I believe your call to hotline and posts here can help with healing.. Thanks for sharing.

It is their word against his about drinking in his teen years. Nobody really cares but that is all the dems could come up with to destroy BK's integrity and the adults in the Senate aren't going to tolerate such tactics.

Which is why the FBI is interviewing the specific witnesses before they interview Ford. JMO
Why did "adults" impeach Bill Clinton? As I posted perjury is about many issues and can be proved. BK has destroyed his own credibility with his ludicrous testimony about Clinton conspiracy.

President Trump said on Saturday that the F.B.I. will have “free rein” to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, but the emerging contours of the inquiry showed its limited scope.

Four witnesses will be questioned in coming days about aspects of the assault accusations against Judge Kavanaugh, according to two people familiar with the matter. Left off the list were former classmates who have contradicted Judge Kavanaugh’s congressional testimony about his drinking and partying as a student.

The White House will decide the breadth of the inquiry, though presidential advisers were working in concert with Senate Republicans, said the two people, one a senior administration official, who both spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive investigation.

Details of F.B.I.’s Kavanaugh Inquiry Show Its Restricted Range

The White House can order investigators to further examine the allegations if their findings from the four witness interviews open new avenues of inquiry, and Mr. Trump seemed to stress that part of the plan in a tweet late on Saturday.
“I want them to interview whoever they deem appropriate, at their discretion,” Mr. Trump wrote. He denied an NBC News report that he was limiting the inquiry and that investigators were not permitted to examine the claims of Julie Swetnick, a woman who has said she witnessed a severely drunken Judge Kavanaugh mistreat women at parties in high school, and that he had attended parties where high school boys gang-raped teenage girls.

To me the limited scope is the 4.

I have no problem with the FBI starting their questioning with the alleged witness's before getting to Dr Ford.

I doubt any of them will change their sworn statements and commit perjury. JMO
Of course they won't but Ford wanted the FBI to investigate and they are investigating. I think Dr. Ford has been a pawn in a very disgusting political game. Her attorneys have some 'splaining to do as to why they didn't pass along the Comte's offer to go to California for the interview.

Clinton lied and it was proved which is why he was impeached. BK hasn't destroyed his credibility with me and I doubt perjury will ever be proved. JMO

Another manifestation of the patriarchal paradigm of 'power' over' is the government attempting to interfere with a woman's right to choose whether or not/when/if she will reproduce.

Each woman on this planet owns her reproductive organs.
Each woman on this planet owns her uterus, owns her fallopian tubes and ovaries, owns her eggs - fertilized or not.

Each woman possesses sovereignty over her body, sovereignty over her reproductive organs, sovereignty over her reproductive decisions.

The patriarchal paradigm of 'power over' seeks to usurp this power, in an effort to control and dominate.

Woke Women (as well as Woke Men) are aware of this.

All this back and forth here and the coordinated squealing by repubs about HOW Dr. Blasey's letter was made public is completely irrelevant to the charges she's made, under oath, and the ethical responsibility for the WH and republicans to allow the FBI to FULLY investigate her claims- and Ramirez's- as they see it, not as dictated by a WH & repubs with obvious political conflict of interests.

It's not very complicated, no rabbit hole delving required or useful or relevant about what is central to whether or not K should be disqualified from a seat on the SC

Swetnick's allegations are too ridiculous to believe. There is no way a bunch of teens would be drunk and "train" raped at multiple parties and they'd all remain silent about it at school or to their friends. I hope the FBI investigates and charges her with perjury. JMO
A little late getting back to this -- I had said that I had been at a party where this happened...

My date and I were at his fraternity -- I was a sophomore in college, and I had met my date in my class in Middle English Lit and in my calculus class as well. He was a nice, good guy. We were sitting in the activity room -- for dancing, hanging out, a juke box was there with their own records, a bar (of course), little tables, etc. It wasn't really a party -- more of just a get-together, and some of the brothers were there with their dates, and some were just hanging out.

After we had been there an hour or so -- we were just sitting talking at a little table -- one of the brothers pounded down the stairs from the second floor where the bedrooms were. He made an announcement -- "There's a girl upstairs who is taking all comers -- she's drunk and in the mood for some fun. Come on up if you want to meet her." Two or three of the guys (they did not have dates) jumped up and ran up the stairs. I was shocked by this scene, and so was my date. He said that he wanted to get out of the house -- he was afraid and grossed out, he said, so we left and went to our favorite pizza place. After that he still didn't want to go back, so we just rode around and went back to my dorm's living room and watched whatever was on TV. We never spoke of it again. I didn't ask, and he didn't tell. The next semester, he moved out of the frat house and into an apt.

A variation of the "train" scene, IMO. This was one of the "nicer" traditional fraternities, very well-respected. The story never got out while I was at the university, and I was there through grad school. So yes, it does happen.

“Ms. Keyser asked that I communicate to the Committee her willingness to cooperate fully with the FBI’s supplemental investigation of Dr. Christine Ford’s allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Mr. Walsh said. “However, as my client has already made clear, she does not know Judge Kavanaugh and has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.”

Borndem--that is a disturbing story. Yes there are articles detailing these "trains"

In other accounts Leland says she believes Dr Ford.

No offense, but did it occur to either you or your BF to go to that room and help her?

Possible BK has mental issues with delusional claims of a Clinton conspiracy?

  • #856
<modsnip - telling how to post>. You are calling the victim, Dr.Ford , a liar, and insinuating she conspired with Dems to take down K. <modsnip - telling how to post>.

I don't know if CF's allegations against BK are true or not. It may have happened exactly as she said. It may have happened, but by someone else (two men have come forward saying they had committed the assault). Or it may not have happened at all. I don't know, no one here knows, and no one will ever know. Memories are, at best, imperfect and can be completely false despite the person being 100% sure. I've posted links previously regarding how common mistaken memories are.

As for "conspiring with the Dems to bring down BK"... I do not believe the world is that black and white. I do not know her motives, I don't know if she was motivated by patriotism or partisanship, if this is part of an assault victim's attempt to deal with the trauma or a 40 year old vendetta, or a little bit of all of these. I don't know if she "conspired" as you put it, or if she was unknowingly used for political purposes. (Feinstein did set her up with her lawyers)

But I do think she wrote that letter knowing the allegations would eventually be public. The lie detector test was in preparation for that.

And absolutely everything in DC is planned out for maximum political impact.

For what it's worth, I do believe she was assaulted in some fashion by someone. Beyond that, I would like to see something reasonably contemporaneous corroborating her allegations.

I think Mccarthyism was a stain on our democracy. I hate to see a resurgence in any form. Unconfirmed allegations should not destroy a person's career.

Is anybody else just exhausted?

The division, the lack of empathy, the questionable motivations...
...when did we stop being human?
Exhausting.

When did we stop being Americans? All this, regardless of whom I or anyone else supports or anyone's political views, just scares me. We are not "us" any more.

What examples are we setting for the kids in middle and high school these days? Is this the way they will act, too?

Will there ever be another "greatest generation" here in the United States? It's like trying to hold water in your hands -- it's all just slipping away.

Yes, I worry. And I pray about it.

Dr Ford testified she took polygraph at request of her attorneys.

I believe there is more corroboration of Ramirez's allegations per the New Yorker article.
Michael Avenatti on MSNBC tonight. Look forward to hearing from him. His client has witnesses.

No way would I have stood by and done nothing to help the girl being assaulted. NO WAY.
