Her attorney stepped in and said (paraphrased) "let's put an end to this misery. We, her attorneys paid for it . Which is standard ."

Why does it matter who paid for it?
The point is not who paid for it. The point is Dr Ford didn't know who paid for it or remember when it happened. JMO

I’m not a liberal journalist.

I’m a journalist.

If you disagree with me, that’s fine. Your opinion doesn’t bother me. Disagreeing doesn’t faze me.

Please, though, enough with the personalizing. This thread’s been going strong all day. I don’t want it shut down.
I'm willing to move on. <modsnip - telling how to post >

BK spent many days being coached at WH. Then he showed up for testimony and started in on a hysterical rant which inspired a SNL skit. "I like beer."

I like beer. I like beer. I drink beer. I still drink beer. What do YOU drink , Senator (1)? What do YOU like to drink? You must have had some beers too, Senator (2). I like beer. Have YOU ever blacked out before , Senator (3)? Have YOU? Have YOU?

I drank beer when I was in high school. On weekends. Sometimes I drank too many. I like beer.

The WH: the FBI may not investigate anything related to K's drinking, including interviewing the witnesses who have come forward (many) to state under oath that K was a heavy drinker & a mean drunk.

What a sight. Can't say as I have ever seen such an expression in my life until now.
Also nice that people that support Kavanaugh are suddenly concerned for the well being of Ford due to the identity leak. IMO

Maybe I read her reply during the hearing incorrectly, but I had the impression she had not been billed for anything yet and did not know if she would be paying for the polygraph.

This.

This. Is. Why. It’s. A. Sham.

The funniest part of that sketch was when he shotgunned the can of water.

... and when he yelled, “I WENT TO YALE!”

This sort of political parody is what SNL does best. Kavanaugh gave that comedy team a goldmine of fodder.

The jokes made it into almost every skit. Hilarious!!

Even Kanye’s MAGA hat got a laugh.

Man, if we can’t glean some sort of dark, self-effacing humor from all of this, we’re doomed.

We’re laughing at ourselves, imo.

She didn't know how much her atty bills were either. I don't see the relevance, personally. What was happening to her over a very short time is beyond our imaginations. Not one of us has been in that mind boggling situation, playing out on an international stage, with profound & lasting national consequences

The closest analogy I can think of is that it would be like going through multiple full scale emergencies simultaneously. One doesn't consider how much the ambulance is going to cost if experiencing what might be a heart attack, nor inquire about the bill when still in the hospital undergoing tests. Like that.....

Yet Another Former Classmate Of Brett Kavanaugh Says He Drank More Than He Lets On | HuffPost

North Carolina State University professor Chad Ludington has joined a handful of other former classmates of Brett Kavanaugh in contradicting the Supreme Court nominee’s claims about his past drinking habits.

Ludington told the New York Times in a statement Sunday that Kavanaugh played down “the degree and frequency” of his drinking to the Senate Judiciary Committee last week. He said he often saw Kavanaugh “staggering from alcohol consumption.”

Ludington claimed he often saw Kavanaugh “belligerent and aggressive” while drunk.

Ford was asked if she payed for the polygraph and she replied "I don't think so". She was then asked if she knew who did pay for it and she said "Not yet no".

Maybe she was clueless about who was paying. I hope she doesn't get a bill for it.
