SUSPECT IN CUSTODY TN - 4 people found deceased, related to an infant abandoned in car seat in someone's yard (Dyer County, TN) 29 July 2025

Some information about the area for anyone interested. It does have a high crime rate, it is safer than 1% of US cities. The area where the baby was left appears to be one of the safest (I think, I’m not local), so that’s something at least.

The road on which the baby was left is very rural, mostly farmland, and safe. It is only a few miles from me. The most dangerous situation about a baby being left outside on that day is that the heat index was about 110 degrees. The baby was not out there long enough to be impacted, thankfully. Whoever placed her there picked that location for a reason and that would only be speculation on my part.

In the last paragraph of this article, TDOC confirms the relationship between Cortney’s sister, a former prison employee, and Drummond. At this point, no one has said, to my knowledge, where she is.

District Attorney: Mass murder suspect is Vice Lord gang member

So, she, ex prison staff, is in a current relationship with AD. And her child is possibly AD's child?

Now half her family are wiped out and nobody knows where she or her daughter are? Wow.

Was there evidence she was living in the car that was found in the woods together with AD?

She has a daughter with another man. She is allegedly pregnant with AD's baby and due soon. There are pictures online substantiating that she is near her due date. I feel like there are ppl who know where she and the little girl are but that is being kept quiet, as it should be for safety reasons. I've never read where there was any evidence that she was living in the car with AD.

I hope he doesn't evade capture like the maniac who killed his young daughters then went into survivalist mode in the wilderness.
What's wrong with Tennessee authorities that they can't track this man down? Is he that clever, or are they just not very competent?
I think they are working around the clock and doing a good job. They are just very close-mouthed. It's frustrating not to have all the info, but I trust that they will in due time. AD is a member of the Vice Lords, with an extensive network of supply and assistance. With the arrests of the two guys who are charged with Accessory after the Fact etc. I'm thinking they are aiding authorities to a degree.

The most interesting point is a family member found the cars & called 911.

I’m not a local but it sounds like that area is a dead-end & out of the way. How would a family member know to look specifically there?

IMO this suggests this might be an area frequented by the family possibly for ‘dodgy’ activities. Thoughts?
I'm most interested in the news reports (which I've read) that 'a family member found the cars and called 911'. I've been looking for a direct quote from the DA, TBI, et al about this. Otherwise, I'm thinking that a journalist took the liberty to say this and other reporters ran with it. Sadly, I've read a lot of terrible journalism on this case--misinformation, confusing vernacular, and suppositions stated as fact. If anyone has a direct quote, please post the link. I'm not trying to say it's not true; it's just a long way away from the victims' homes and not likely that a relative would be driving down Carrington Road in Lake County TN unless....well, I won't say why right now. Thanks for any info on this!

Where were the victim's homes? I do not recall seeing that info. Near Tigrett or in Tiptonville? Further, do we know if the 2 arrested were ever serving time with him or are somehow connected with him since his release?

LE could be on to him and being tight-lipped. Or they could be working hard but striking out while not communicating necessary information to the public.

I've seen it both ways, it's impossible to say at this juncture. If he's caught in a few days, we'll have one answer. If he's still at large by Thanksgiving, we know it's the alternative.

Also, they quickly put out a statement (see below) about all the resources involved in the case so I agree - I think they are just being very quiet. This was posted on the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office’s FB page the day after the incident - note all the agencies assisting the TBI:

UPDATE FROM THE TENNESSEE BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION:

At the request of 29th Judicial District Attorney General Danny Goodman, TBI agents, in coordination with the agencies mentioned below, continue to investigate the deaths of four individuals found Tuesday along Carrington Road in Tiptonville.

The deceased have been identified as:
• James M. Wilson, 21
• Adrianna Williams, 20
• Cortney Rose, 38
• Braydon Williams, 15

The investigation, including efforts to identify and apprehend the suspect or suspects, remains active and ongoing. Assisting agencies include the Tiptonville Police Department, the Dyersburg Police Department, the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Department, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the Tennessee State Parks, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Jackson Police Department, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Anyone with information about this case should contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND

I'm not knowledgeable about US gang culture but surely there's no honour in aiding and assisting a vicious man who just killed a young family about to start out in the world (seemingly for no good reason)?

This is looking like family annihilation perpetrated by a sociopath, not anything political, criminal, or on the agenda of gang dealings so why would the Vice Lords want any connection to this if they are an ancient gang with a code? Wouldn't they finish him off themselves to get rid of such a problem person?

The area they were located, what sort of place is it? Is it somewhere people go to hang out?

Could it be possible they were all out doing something (completely innocent) together and AD just flipped and took everyone out?

This case is reminding me a little bit of the murder of Savannah Soto (9 mths pregnant teen) who was murdered in a car together with her also teenage boyfriend, father of the baby. The baby was going to be born the next day so counted as a life and a murder. A whole little family just taken out. Crime, gangs, drug dealing were a part of that story but we don't really know why the young man who perpetrated the crime did it, he was assisted by his parents, all are in jail awaiting trial.

The victims lived in Dyer County.
I've never read what is the connection among the two arrested and AD other than they are all three from Jackson TN.

Good points. I think the authorities know the answers but they haven't made many things public at this time.

The victims lived about 40 miles away, and the area they were located was not somewhere to gather for a get-together. This is a very rural, dead-end road. There are places in Lake Co. that are nice for hanging out and having gatherings (around the actual lake) but this road is not one that out of town ppl would choose (esp on a day with about a 110 degree heat index and extremely high humidity).

It was not a place for meets, unless doing something very private. if you review the thread, they are a lot of questions that are answered a long time ago. There is a timeline that’s been established and is still building, the remote area of the body was found, all of the vehicles involved, the prison facility itself, and gang related activity involved by charging of 1 at least with Accessories after the fact of the same affiliation as the suspect, between news outlets, FB, and independent investigators, lawyers, psychologist, and others within forum, a lot of evidence within the thread has answers already. It is hard to keep up with I story so large even myself when it gets an average of 10 pages a day worth of information and it being so soon however for forensics is working rapidly or rest would not have already been made.

Just coming back from a 3 day weekend so this has likely already been posted. Catching up with the recent arrests (sadly still not Austin).

Tanaka Brown FB nothing surprising, 'bout what I expected to find there.

so the two arrested are charged with accessory after the fact. I'm betting they were involved in assisting with dumping the baby and/or the multiple vehicles associated with this case. Possibly also assisting in his evasion of LE after the fact.

I am thinking the processing of the vehicles may have led authorities to them via fingerprints or DNA.

Beyond comprehension why anyone woul help a murderer.
these twits fancy themselves big time gang bangers. They prize loyalty to fellow bangers above all else. They're stunted emotional and morally. They need no excuse beyond that.
