My Dad was a CO at a prison for many years and had to keep up with the changing signs.
In the VL it can be meant as a way to say goodbye or "deuces". Or if the palm is facing inwards and it is sideways, it can be a sign of disrespect to the person you are throwing the sign to.

He is the common law brother in law of the grandmother that was murdered. He much younger baby sister dated or was dating him.

The woman dating him has taken down her current socials, and was mentioned as grieving as well by another family member of hers, so I think it is safe to assume she is not a hostage or missing.

Respectfully, Tennessee does not have common law marriage.

What's wrong with Tennessee authorities that they can't track this man down? Is he that clever, or are they just not very competent?

That's not quite fair. These are very rural counties. Lake only has about 7,000 residents, about 25% of them below the poverty line. The webpage for the Sheriff lists 3 whole people. They are simply not equipped for handling such a serious, high profile crime.

Dyer County has 36,000 and the Sheriff's department has a more employees but both counties are areas where people may drive a fairly long way for a decent paying job. I doubt a county that small from any state would be equipped to deal with a high profile case like this. That why they immediately called in TBI.

Jackson TN, where they think he may have initially fled is in Madison County. It has around 100,000 people. Jackson Police Department actually has a SWAT team and it looks like their department has a lot more resources but I suspect TBI has much better labs and forensics teams.

MOO I see so many posed photos where kids and teens do hand signs that look like sideways peace signs, including some of my friends' little ones, and my friends aren't gang members.

I just hope they haven't helped him leave the state. Wonder how many of his helpers are intimidated by him and fellow gang members to help him. Whatever their reasons, I hope they sing like birds .

IMO, if you threaten your victims, should be an automatic life sentence. Same with jurors. Maybe that seems overly harsh, but we can't be having shenanigans like this in civilized society. Also, why in God's name was he ever let out with so many pending charges, and he was a known gang member?! Does that sound like rehabilitation to anyone?

Very much side-eyeing Drummond's parents and their cake with all the missed birthdays on it. That's just straight up trashy and I will die on that hill.
